How many hundreds of millions of men are in the US and what percentage of those are media personalities on good incomes? Ya’ll can’t all be Jordan Peterson.

How many single men are voluntarily single? (The moaning on Reddit suggests probably not a fair share)

Men actually rarely “go their own way.” They just create enclaves and whine about single mothers and onlyfans.

Although I do think people are finding less traditional ways to make money, which is smart. College is becoming increasingly not worth it unless you’re studying something extremely in-demand.

When people are talking about men checking out they are talking about the upcoming generation and how they operate. When comparing them to young women of this generation they don’t seem to have teams ambition or drive. And I believe that in previous generations the difference between male and female goals may not have been as great.

That being said I’m not sure what social media influencers have to do with the everyday man. Yes men are more common in certain fields, but men are also not expected to sacrifice their careers for their families. Also those are not the men people are discussing when they say men are checking out, they are talking about young men.

Also I’m pretty sure some of what you claim is incorrect. A quick Google shows that there isn’t much disparity between single men vs single women going into foreclosure.

Imagine using Apex Fallacy to review how the entire group is doing. All the data you can find shows men are doing worse compared to the past and the trend is negative. Education, jobs, friends, sexual and romantic relationships, testosterone levels, home ownership, addictions etc. I struggle to find anything that's fine or better.

The stats that raise my eyebrows a little are that (in the U.S.) 59% of college students are women, and when I read the comments from women in this sub and then think about 89% of elementary school teachers being women it does ring some faint alarm bells.

The truth is we really don't need that many people to make the system work. Buying in is high and pay out is low unless you're very lucky or you're very intelligent.

Under those circumstances a lot of people are going to make a decision to try to spend as much time as possible pursuing their own specific goals or wants over some sort of idea of a collective.

It doesn't matter if a bunch of men, women, or whatever check out. As long as they pay taxes, and work we'll be fine.

Forming a new society counts as checking out of the old one.

Also, just because men lead in a lot of areas does not mean that men are participating in all of those areas. You are talking about a minority of over-achieving men. When we say men are checking out of society we are talking about the majority. There will always be a set minority of super-productive men in every society, this is the rule not the exception.

The consequence of men leading from the top only means that the other 99% are not leading anything. Just because a man is the CEO of a company it doesn't mean the thousands of male employees are at his level or that they even care to do their best while at the job.

Very few men are super-productive and all that excess value they create is what is allowing the majority of the rest of the men to check out.

And yes I agree that just because we are checking out of this fucking society it doesn't mean we aren't building a parallel one on the side. This is exactly how a "Black Market" works, or to be politically correct: an "Informal Economy."

If you wanna know where are all these men who are checked out of society you're talking to one right now bruh. I do the bare minimum just to get by, I have no savings, no "pension" I have no fucking idea what the hell a 401K even is although every asshole over 40 is always talking about it. I work in HVAC repairing, installing, and maintaining heating & Cooling units and systems. It is not a glamorous job and it is not a high paying job but I get enough to get by and pay all necessary bills. Let's see now:

I don't vote
I don't involve myself in anything for the community
I don't provide anything to anyone else
I only earn enough for myself.
I do not "fight" for anything, or speak up for anything or any cause.
I do not spend enough money to "boost" the economy.
I am not paying any hard taxes other than Income and Sales and even then I get that money back cause I do not earn enough.
I am looking to apply for a EBT (food stamps) benefits because why the hell not?
I do not care for "giving back" to society in any possible way because fuck society.
I have no issues taking from society however. Again, because fuck society.

And no I am not some slimy incel, I groom well cause I like being clean and good looking. I still get sex, I live in my own apartment, I have no issues with women or just people in general when they're not acing like idiot zombies congregating in their Groupthink.

I have been in long term relationships and one of them was with a very high value woman who literally earned 5 times more than I do and she was older (I'm 25 she is mid 40s), educated, really hot and good looking, and has a good career, so she's not exactly naive or easy to impress. If a woman as intelligent and successful as she is thought I had some value to offer her, then I think I'm probably not that bad. But I have my own priorities and my own issues in life which is why it just didn't work out and hasn't worked out with any woman I have ever dated or am intimate friends with.
