Seriously, what school of stupidity is making people think that "theft of public likeness" and "invading my privacy in a public space" are actual laws? I mean, there has to be a website or something somewhere drumbeating this idiocy into peoples heads. While he is justified by the law for his actions and was wronged I feel like he was being kind of a dick.

1) He should have had a photo or a small video player with him to show the police officer.

2) While he didn't feel comfortable without a camera he was still making other people feel uncomfortable with it.

While these people he was interacting with were government employees and should have a higher standard that they adhere to (and have to deal with shit on occasion) it doesn't change the fact that they are fallible humans just like us. Putting on a badge or suit or fancy title doesn't change the fact that people tend to act irrationally when they feel threatened.

I would like to see technology progressing to the point that our bodies can have cameras built in so there is no discussion on the "Please turn the camera off" ~~~ "I don't feel safe without it on" it becomes a "I am a camera, I record everything I see, hear and feel let's have a calm discussion that is streamed to my live youtube channel 24/7". Problem solved.

So it's assault to cover up a camera after asking someone multiple times not to film you? It seems he was looking for trouble, and provoked her. He is obviously harassing her to get her to react like that, just so he can try to press charges and be a victim. I'm looking down on his actions regardless of his gender. The roles could be completely switched and it still wouldn't be ok. It's not ok for MRA's to act like this, and it wouldn't be ok for WRA to do it either. He went to a discussion about violence against women simply to harass someone and get a reaction out of them. He is a shit stirrer and nothing more. I wish she would have reacted differently to make him look like a complete dick, but I guess he got what he wanted. Who knows what he said to her to cause her to "assault" him by shielding herself from the camera..

I get what he was fighting for in that particular video, but I've seen a bunch of his videos, and the guy is a complete douchebag. You get a lot more done in life with honey than you do with vinegar, and that asshole is full of vinegar.

I just saw the first minute.

I didn't see an assault.

I saw a dude being a dick, I saw someone pointing a camera at someone to deliberately provoke them, then smiling about it when he realised he had managed to get her to break out and whack him with her jacket.

I was expecting something like a guy minding his own business gets hit with a big sign and falls to the floor bleeding.

My kids assault me worse than this.

I think this is making a big deal over a minor thing. This isn't what I'd call an assault, she pushes him away. There's obviously quite a lot of tension between these people already, the video shows a small part of that.

Society is biased against men in respect to physical actions and violence and if the sexes were reversed she might successfully claim an attack. That doesn't make it right for him any more than it would be for her.

Camera guy seems like he was violating her, I think she was in the right and he in the wrong in that situation, and I would feel the same way if there was a woman behind the camera and a man going down the elevator, or two women or two men.

Of course a man in the same position would have lost his job, as the site claims, but that's not right either.
