The sad thing is, a lot of times, these people use "sexual assault" to mean rape in the case of woman-on-man forced sexual encounters, since they technically can't say "rape".

I think that's what we should be fighting more. Making rape by envelopment an actual crime.

AN autistic boy was kidnapped, tortured, bashed and sexually assaulted after he was allegedly set upon by two young girls during a depraved and sickening attack in suburban Townsville last weekend.

The 12-year-old boy was riding home after fishing in a creek, when he was pulled from his bike and dragged into a house that was under construction on Sunday morning.

He was then subjected to a prolonged and humiliating assault allegedly at the hands of two girls, aged just 13 and 14.

The boy was bashed, threatened with a knife and stripped naked before being sexually assaulted during the terrifying ordeal.

The young victim managed to escape and ran next door, screaming for help, where the home owners took him inside and phoned his mother. The boy's mother, who cannot be named as it would identify her son, yesterday revealed the shocking ordeal in the hope of protecting other children.

"He was dragged off his pushbike by his hoodie and dragged into a house that was under construction and severely beaten up, kicked, kneed and punched," she said.

"He was beaten about the whole body."

The mother said her son wasn't able to communicate how long he had been held captive, but believes it may have been around an hour.

"They got him in there and basically attacked him severely, ripped all his clothes off, they had a knife to his throat and told him they were going to kill him," she said.

"They got him against a wall there and held a knife against his head and ear."

Don't you think there's probably a LOT of sick stuff that's not necessarily reported in the media? This is a horrible thing to happen, and it would be equally horrible if the child was a girl. Why whenever something horrible happens to a man the topic in Mensrights becomes, not about the poor victim and the social issues that may have led to this tragedy, but about a hypothetical situation where a girl would get more attention, trying to make it a contest of victimhood?

I would like to see Mensrights being more about ACTIVISM and to truly be focused on MENS issues, but too often the main goal is usually to just simply point out that "women's issues" get too much attention in comparison to us and that men are more oppressed because of this...

Fuck punishment. What we need is for this to be taken seriously and for them to get some serious fucking psychological help. And the victim to get every damn shred of aid he needs to get through this.

Course Male rapists just get prison, because obviously a twisted, nasty scumbag will be fixed if you hurt them enough. Female rapists get coddled, because obviously twisted, nasty scumbags will be fixed if you ignore everything they do wrong.

As a person who has a brother with Autism, this story is flat out disturbing. These girls deserve to have their lives ruined, because that young man simply does not have the mental capacity to understand or overcome what has transpired. Anyone who harms a mentally challenged individual should, regardless of age, but tried as an adult and have their names plastered in the paper and evening news.

I saw this over in /r/wtf and came to post that thread here because I was so shocked at the response. Go through the comment section, and it's mainly guys saying "lucky!!" or "wish it was me!!" - more importantly that worrying about what the media response would be if genders were reversed, you should be focusing on the way real people respond to this kind of thing.
