She's also not a citizen. Her father used the hostile nature of his country at the time to his advantage when she was born. He was supposed to still have diplomatic immunity when she was born and technically didn't so they were under the jurisdiction of our laws, however at the time the US knew he used his status to his advantage so they didn't grant citizenship.

I actually listened to an hour long podcast interview with her and the other chick Kimberly.

It is mostly objective, but her stance is that she was manipulated. Her dad was a Yemen Ambassador here in the states and was fired shortly before her birth. Parents were strongly conservative and faith based. She was not allowed to play with other kids you get the picture. She said she turned to her religion and her online friends who were also part of her religion. She said they are the ones who turned her and said things like, “We need you here! You can help”. She went and then I guess a month or two later realized it was a fucked situation.

All in all, even after hearing her story and the one of the other woman and digesting it entirely, she still does not deserve forgiveness. Nor does the other person. They made adult decisions involving treason with adult consequences and I really think anyone trying to make more of it than that is shamelessly peddling identity, race, and gender politics.

The issue isn't about her being accepted and loved in America. The issue is that America is forfeiting its responsibility of dealing with an American citizen. It's like if the government was to send any American convicted of a crime to another country. They can't do that! The have a responsibility to deal with their citizens. So, she should be allowed back into the U.S and triad for treason and all other crimes she committed. Even if she gets back just to get death penalty. That's what should happen. People criticizing this decision aren't sympathizing with her, they are critical of this move by the government.
