As a lot of people have correctly pointed out, there is more to this than meets the eye.

I'm about that guy's age, and I would not under any circumstances even consider jumping into bed with a woman that young, especially if she had been a student at an educational institution where I worked. The fact that she'd left the course before they had sex, is at best a feeble defence. I would still be willing, based on available information, to consider it taking advantage of his position and inappropriate behaviour on his part - not to mention intensely, intensely stupid.

That doesn't make her any less guilty of criminal damage.

Alright, I read the article and the sentencing was fair. The only thing is that I nowhere did I read she will be reimburse him for damages done.
