FDS has some ideas that aren't bad, but their entire idea on what men even want or respond to is warped in the same way that TRP often seems to seriously mischaracterize what many women want. But, and this is just my opinion, FDS has a much more flawed methodology in place. TRP has some awareness that the guy going into it isn't at his best and some form of change should probably be made. FDS externalizes the problem and claims their equivalent person doesn't really need to change themselves in any significant way.

As a woman who has looked at some of the FDS stuff… it’s bad.

It’s horribly hypocritical, objectifies/commodifies people, and sets people up for failure.

It seems innocent enough on the surface but it doesn’t take much digging to see some seriously toxic stuff.

They have a few opinions I agree with. The problem is they aren't willing to give what they expect. There is a double standard. Yes men can be trashy and I do belive in the concept of LVM. But the same goes for women. They can be just as bad and undateable. But everything a women does is being excused while men get bashed for the smallest things.

I agree with the aspects of not get pushed around by men who may just want to hurt you, but their subreddit goes too far. I've read posts where they said "kill all men."

That's stuff incels would say about women, but because they have branding under "feminism" they get way with it.

As a woman, I can promise you, HVW are ones that respect you as a person. And people who preach hatred will never be HV.

I wouldn't take their 6pack, 6figs, 6ft seriously.

I've liked men who had none of those and many of my friends have too.

They are angry manhating volcels only willing to date something on the level of a high IQ supermodel that lets them control the relationship even though they themselves are usually fat, middle aged, and ugly with terrible personalities. They original purpose is great. Most of their basic advice is decent, though I did find I disagreed with some of their statements in their handbook, but it’s not all bad.

I feel like it’s just like any echo chamber, you let a little toxicity slip in and it spoils the whole thing. Some of the posts I’ve read are absolutely insane, but I do think the average member is probably not toxic and is just looking for advice and/or a support structure.

It does make me wonder what it must be like dating men if a place like that seems an appropriate “response”, so to speak.

Do they not see that calling themselves the table reduces them to what they despise men to be doing? An object. One who brings sex to the table and nothing else, since they don’t need to bring anything to the table since they are the price in itself. They want a HVM who wants her for sex only. The hypocrisy and the blindness to this is insane to me.

There is certainly wisdom on that sub in the form of standing up for yourself and not compromising when you don’t really want to. Other than that, it’s a shitshow of bitter women who want to mad at the world until they die.

If you want dating advice from angry fat women in their 40s who were never able to settle down and find partners, it's the subdreddit for you. Their personalities are uglier than their outsides likely are, and the content is a great example of behaviors to avoid if you actually want to find a good partner to settle down with and don't want to end up in their situation.

Overall they are actually toxic.

FDS has some basic, good advices, but that doesn't make it a good dating strategy or a good place. Rather negative community, where a woman is more likely to radicalize and become bitter than to find a good man.

They are more of a women's version of MGTOW or the incel community than TRP.

I love it. You need to be armed and prepared with knowledge on how to move around men. Many of us got into this shit with no ammunition, blindsided by our naivety and wanting to see the good in situations that were clearly dangerous

I've seen some posts complaining about specific posts from there that were overreacting about shit that wasn't even bad. And I've seen posts from that that are actually bad and sexist. So I would say it's mixed, the same would be true about this sub, some posts are pretty relevant and some are just people being sexist

If the question is about our thoughts on FDS then why are you asking us to judge the men they talk about? "Are men bad in this way or are they bad in that way?" Kind of leading post title don't you think lol

The fundamental reason why people take issue with FDS is because they over-generalize about groups of people based on their immutable characteristics. So "men" aren't anything because they're not a monolith.

Like any activist ideology the strategy is to take a horror story that maybe truthfully applies to a small minority and exaggerate it to fortify the urgency of your message.

They deliberately overstate what they have to say...I think sometimes partly because it is amusing and partly because it upsets dudes and pickmes in amusing ways. Basically you've got to be able to laugh it off to stick round there.

Toxic is a perception of people that can come about by various means. I mean let's say I laughed at some dudes Tinder photo and said "well at least he is giving us excellent visual decision making support" because he had a picture of his dog on his bed and there was a dog shaped patch of grime because he obviously never washes his sheets. I think FDS are a necessary strand of thought. I don't read or post there myself...I joined for a while and then left when it became boring because I am not looking to date. But they were very amusing and very heartening to see in action.
