My boyfriend is a wonderful, caring sweet man. He makes me laugh, he helps around the house, he works hard. We have great chemistry, lots of shared interests and a good sex life. We recently found out that I'm pregnant. Completely unplanned and unlucky (I am on contraception, I guess these things happen). He wants to keep the baby but I have a brain and can not entertain that. We have an abortion consultation scheduled for tomorrow. I am understandably sad and tired but that's life.

My birthday was two days ago, and the next day was valentines day. Two weeks before my birthday he mentioned he had booked us a date at the theatre for next month. On my birthday, he went to work and I spent the day alone. He joined my friends and I after work and spent most of the night talking to his own friends outside. On the way to meet my family for dinner, I told him I didn't appreciate that. He proceeded to argue with me and lose his temper to the point of punching himself in the head and crying. I asked him "are you done?" and left.

Later that night he cried and begged for forgiveness, telling me he was struggling emotionally with the abortion. I have barely said anything in response because I am focused on tomorrow and am biding my time until then. On valentines day, there was no card or anything. I told him I'd like to go out and essentially dragged him out. He bought me one drink then told me had ran out of money. I paid for his next drink, went home and went to bed. In 24 hours I will attend the consultation and then tell him we are done. I might've compromised on this a few years ago but now I know that when I'm stood up on the train to work feeling completely unappreciated, that I'd be better off alone. Wish me luck.
