I've have noticed a pattern that some men complain (if they do express themselves) about women not embracing men enough, and many women complain that men aren't good enough.

I'm just one of those people who get the impression that women are much less attracted to men as men actually exist, than men are to women in the ways that women actually exist.

To speak in terms of how genders objectify each other, it's as if the sex/comfort object is usually not interested in intimacy, while the provider/success object is usually not superman. This seems like the place many if not most people are at.

But if the latter object is indeed superman, let's say Clark Kent (looks) and/or full uniform Superman (success), then the former object is suddenly interested in intimacy.

And since there are so few supermen and many women, why is it taboo for women to share the supermen if that's all they're attracted to? If the answer amounts to self respect, what is it that makes you feel or think that such a thing is beneath you if that's the reality that your sense of attraction leads you? How is polygyny worse than serial monogamy?
