Years ago I had read about reasons people ignore texts or take time to reply. I can’t remember all the reasons so was wondering what you have found. There’s 15+ reasons.
It could be theyre not interested, could be theyre busy, but it could also be hard to get, trying to get you to chase them, testing your interest level, testing how needy you are, testing how high value you are, trying to get validation, trying to feel better about themselves, etc. it seems people with lower self esteem tend to do this more often as well.

What do you do if someone’s ignoring your text messages, especially if you’ve met them or know them in real life? It’s not always as simple as just doing nothing and waiting for them to respond. In some cases things may actually go better if you send another text. For example the modernman website says you should do the silent treatment back to them.

I have also seen guys and girls intentionally do this when they deem the other person to be in demand, high value, etc. they believe that by ignoring the person they can stand out more, compared to other people who are constantly chasing after them. In that case it’s horrible manipulative behavior, trying to appear higher value than you actually are.
