Do you recommend your single friends to each other?

I'll introduce my friends to one another, the men and the women, some of them go on to be close friends. I wish more of my friends would do that.

It seems like there’s more risk than reward. If one of them finds the other unattractive, they may be very offended at your idea of even suggesting they are looks-matched.

I try to make them meet eachother without telling them before that I know someone that could be a good potential match for them. I think this is the easiest option.

Nope. I don’t want to be involved. If they don’t like each other, I’m in trouble. If one likes the other but the other does not, I’m in trouble. If they like each other and then break up, I’m in trouble. And I may end up having to choose between them, so I just stay out of my friends’ love lives.

Sometimes, yes. But I’m at that age where most people aren’t single anymore. I had a great couple in mind, my husband and I invited them to our parties and they start to attend the same board game group. I think they were both interested, but since he didn’t make initiative, it didn’t go anywhere.

I don’t know many nasty breakups in my circle of friends, so I’m not too worried. Nerds are nice.

I've learned that my guy friends do NOT act the same in relationships as I'd expect them to (based on their behavior as friends). After being burned a few times, I no longer set up straight people... I'll set up my lesbian friends tho.

I've done this a ton, yeah (not sure why this is "Q4BP" lol).

Literally never had it done for me though... granted, in most of my social days, I was already paired up.

In general though, like, why wouldn't you? Merging groups, being someone who can intro people to other people they'd like--very valuable in a social realm. It gets you a lot of credit with people, and benefits you too. Plus, it's just a good thing to do.

Yes, but only because I think they're good for each other. I already played matchmaker for 1 successful relationship. It's possible that they are incompatible, but that's ok, they tried and it didn't work. I trust my friends to both be good people and not break up on such terrible terms that it affects my relationships with them.

Sort of. I make sure they meet each other a couple of times or more in appropriate circumstances like a party or a bbq. I try to smooth the way when I introduce them...maybe include a conversation starter But I don't tell them I am match making. The spark and catching feelings is their problem not mine.

Yes, my friend group set up our two very religious friends up and they got married last year. There was some drama because the guys were giving the guy tips and the women the same, but by all accounts they're very happy.

Most of the guys wish he had more of a spine and wasn't so damn whipped, but she came to my ex wife numerous times for lingerie recommendations and is apparently something of a fox now that she's married. He still gets uncomfortable around dick jokes, so I'm actually pretty jealous and feel like it's wasted on him.

Nevertheless I wish the two of them well, in spite of the fact that our friend group has seen two divorces in the last year.

No bc I hate it when ppl try to set with up with other ppl, irs so awkward and hard to say no without feeling bad. I wouldn’t put a friend in that position unless both parties requested.
