Edit 1: Hey guys! Thank for all your responses. I plan to get to all of them but there are currently 76 comments on this post so it might take a minute. A few things I will say tho from request

What do I think feminism is?

I think feminism was a movement started to achieve gender equality and end sexism. Originally created in favor to better help women achieve equality, as when the movement started we had very little rights.

Unfortunately, as the movement progressed we have had a few people come into the movement that have spread a lot of hate, and also excluded those who need feminism the most. I also believe that feminism cannot be properly discussed when excluding topics of racial inequality, which unfortunately happens a lot.

It is my opinion that women are still not equal to men. Before I list some examples, I do want to say that I agree men are more prone to struggle with things such as child custody, suicide rates, and incarceration rate. And I believe feminism should help them too.

The examples I was talking about include but are not limited to the overturning of Roe V Wade, women being more prone to sexual assault (not to say it doesn’t happen in men), sexualization, gender roles and expectations (women are supposed to stay at home with the kids and not work), people not believing women’s countless allegations to later find out a man was in fact guilty (examples include larry nassar, R kelly, ect.), proven rapists serving little to no time (bill cosby), women not taken as seriously in male dominated fields, workplace harassment, military harassment, doctors not taking a womans pain seriously, and and violence against women of color and trans women being largely unpunished.
