I've been a feminist for a long time, and stumbled upon this subreddit recently. You all have a lot of good information that I wish I'd known sooner, that's not to say I agree with everything here but I've definitely learned a lot. I'd like to know what me and other women can do better with? A lot of the posts on here seem to be about how people (mostly women) treat men as possibly dangerous and are weary because of that perceived danger. I too am guilty of this however I'm unsure of how to "fix" or "do better" in this regard. I have been assaulted and used by men before so I'm a bit weary when it comes to new people I meet. I'm nice to strangers, and most men I treat well, I only get weary if we end up becoming friends and hanging out in private - once we've hung out a couple times this feeling tends to go away. Am i not supposed to be weary? Even if the chance of assault isn't nearly as high as people want you to believe, it's still there - the reason why I'm more worried when it comes to men than women as a bisexual, is because I know if a man were to do something I'd be physically unable to stop him, if a woman tried something I'd feel more confident to be able to stop her (in this situation I'm referring to us both being sober, and one with physical not emotional manipulation).

Anyways, what can I and other women do better? I know y'all don't want us to fear you, but I dont know how to make this fear go away when your all so much stronger physically. (Apologies if this kind of post isn't allowed)

Edit: I will not be replying to those being blatantly disrespectful, I'm here to have a conversation about how I can better support men, im not interested in your half-asked remarks I want genuine advice. For those who did give proper answers- thankyou for all your advice, I will take your words into consideration and try to do better in the future
