I have heard many TRP adherents suggest that culturally enforced monogamy is some kind of grand compromise between the sexual strategies of men and women.

But is it really a fair compromise purely in terms of prioritizing each gender's sexual desire satisfaction equally? (Something particularly important in a culture that is sending everyone the message that nothing is more important than getting your fair share of sexual pleasure.)

The top men do sacrifice: but they still get their choice of the hottest women, and will have a great deal of sexual pleasure. The rest of the men get their sexual access enhanced. However, if we follow TRP theory, most women will no longer have a chance to ride the 'cock carousel' when younger, which again according to TRP theory is really the only time they get to have arousing sex. Now they will be forced to give that up and go right to Betas, without even good times to look back on.

So even assuming the rules of monogamy were enforced equally, does not TRP theory itself say that enforced monogamy prioritizes male sexuality over female?
