My workplace's post-#metoo policy is that you can under no circumstances comment on a co-workers appearance. So I have to stay conscious of that.

Granted our HR director just sits around looking for reasons to fire people, like she has a spreadsheet literally called cause_for_termination.xls on her desktop that has every single employee (other than herself and the CEO of course) filled out with a pre-existing reason for their termination so that the company never has to pay unemployment benefits in the event of lay-offs.

Last time we had lay-offs like 5 people were nailed with sexual harassment. The rest was other BS stuff she dreamed up, like insubordinate behavior, failure to meet work expectations (on objective tasks she arbitrarily came up with at the end of the day, like hanging up Halloween decorations or whatever), etc. She's generally considered a horrible person by everyone in the company. Got to love a right-to-work state.

All the time. Whenever I walk behind a woman, talk to one, look at one. Part of thats my fault. Was an outcast in grade school, it becomes part of the mindset. But the threat is very real, and its very easy to blame a weird looking guy.

I record all my calls and backup all of messages. I do not mentor women and treat the women I work with like men. You should always keep a record if you can, it's easy too.

Only a little, it really depends on the person. Dealt with someone who thought far too many things counted as harassment. But anyone with social experience tend to tread lightly or completely ignore people like that.

Not at all. I'm reasonably attractive and know whom to joke with and whom to leave alone. I've always been able to make suggestive jokes with female co-workers, or gay male colleagues, going all the way back to high school. You can't do it all the time, and you definitely need to know who you're joking around with, but it doesn't concern me in the slightest.

That said, I would never work in healthcare or education because there is too much risk of being wrongly accused. I have friends both male and female who work as teachers, and the only ones who are concerned with the minefield of the workplace (parent interactions not included) are the male teachers. For the females teachers, the thought of being accused of misconduct isn't even on their radar.

I do get paranoid about it sometimes. But not so much of be accused after being straight forward, as much as just being accused by women that use sexual harassment as a weapon. Its not just men that I've seen get accused, I seen it happen to a woman. A female coworker accused her of sexual harassment and she had to go through hell with HR. She ended up just quitting cause she couldn't deal with the bullshit. Sexual harassment is such a convenient tool for women to fuck people over, women don't even limit themselves to accusing men nowadays.

To be fair though I've only seen this shit happen on campus and with HR, not law enforcement. Its really just the kangaroo courts that colleges and corporate set up to appease the feminists. Thank god I graduated before MeToo and where I work nowadays, there aren't many women.

Women want "courtier" level impunity when it comes to making accusations - just point and screech and the "offending" (or creepy or undesirable) man is hauled away for good. If it's so rare, then it should be a non-issue bringing the "few" women who do it to justice. A person's word should never be the sole reason to ruin someone's life. Women ruin enough lives as it is.

Yes and it's the reason why I stick with the Mike pence rules like it's my very own religion.

I've seen it happen to three guys, one of them being accused wasn't even in the country at the time of the accusation. All three were suspended, two lost their jobs because it was cheaper to fire them and risk a wrongful termination case than keep them on and risk the loss due to bad publicity.

Now if I ever have a woman working on my team, she doesn't get a meeting with me unless there is a witness or its recorded in some way and yes she gets told it's recorded and a copy goes to hr.

She doesn't get to attend team things, like nights out etc, if she does then a rule of zero alcohol is imposed, as guys we'll wait until work is over and then arrange something. If a woman is on the team everyone is held to a professional standard rule, that means no conversation involving outside life, any and all conversations are kept strictly to work or related to work.

The worst part for any woman on the team is that she gets treated equally to the rest of the team.

I somewhat worry about co-workers, but that is a clear 'do not go' area, and I don't date co-workers. I have never been hard approached by a co-worker, but then I am a man, so the odds of that are very low. The examples are so numerous of such things going south, and the bar is MUCH lower in a business context, since they will fire you 'just to be sure', while criminal actions require a much higher level of proof (and also have more serious consequences). I don't really worry about non-work relationships, its just a low odds situation. The risk of STD's and pregnancy is much higher than the chances of a legal threat.

50% - 100% of the reason why I never bothered with women.

All it took was one dinner during a late working day with a co-worker that could have easily and potentially terminated my position.

Be "cautious" but not afraid. Women hold most of the power regarding these topics in this day and age.
