There's a big difference between the average and the median. Imagine one guy with N=100 and 9 with N=0, the average N count will be 10.

Further, even if 30% of men (or is it 30% of single men?), that's not a good sign for society. The family is the fundamental building block of society; if 63% of men aren't working on starting one, that's a terrible omen, demographically.

half of that percentage are by “choice” likely because they have tried and failed to get laid/GFs and decided to give up. few people are true asexuals (feel free to look up statistics) and can go without romance/sex while still feeling “whole”.

and the average is skewed because of outliers (Chads) absolutely slaying. remember in statistics averages are easily skewed by outliers. like if you look at the distribution, the guys at the top are having a bunch of sex then you have many guys at the bottom who are more or less in LTRs with their right hand.

what’s happening is a large percentage of men are essentially forced into “pseudo-inceldom” where they are mostly without sex during their teens and 20s and at the same time you have the most physically attractive men at the top with soft-harems of several young women in their 20s.

however all that dissipates when the women approach their 30s and develop a desire to start a proper family which results with them settling down with one of the less desirable men.

why do women develop that desire? why not remain in chads harem forever? well while chad might provide sex and some form of companionship it really isn’t the same as a real romantic relationship which we all want. I think women eventually get sick of it, and they also want to have kids with someone they know will be a good father, so they search for some less desirable man who they know will play by their rules more or less.

It takes a few men mathematically to push the average way higher.

2 men with a 200 body count

And

48 men with 4 body count

Means the average is 12.

2 women with a 50 body count

And

48 women with a 8 body count

Means the average is 10.

So even if most women are sleeping with twice the number of most men, the stats in this example indicate that men are more promiscuous which is horse shit.

The problem with the data is that you can't control for outright lies.

Women are incentivized to lie to the downside of their body count so as not to disqualify themselves to men, and to not be thought of negatively by their female peers.
Men are incentivized to lie to the upside of their body count to prequalify themselves to women and to boast to other men.

I think the bigger issue is that only 34% of women in the same age group are single, young men are the only outlier on that Pew Graph with multiple age groups. People will say “young men are just playing the field” while I’m not the best with math if 64% of men are single and 34% of women are single then for men to play the field that must involve plenty of women cheating or simply being left out. Again I’m not good at math though so I could be completely wrong and probably am

Also even if we say it’s all by choice why nearly double of men are single compared to women in the same age group, I assume one would ask why this is the case and I doubt the reasons are very good, especially when again 34% of young women are single and young men are the only outlier

A lot of the difference is how we define relationships.

A man having sex once a week with 5 different women may consider himself single, which one of those women would probably consider themselves in a relationship with the guy.

It's statistically impossible for men to have more sexual partners on average than women. Take a group of 5 women and 5 men, and exclude gay/lesbian/bi relationships.

There isn't a combination where the men will have more sexual partners on average than the women.

18-29 is a ridiculously large age range from which to draw any conclusions. 18-year-olds are barely adults.

Given that the average age of first marriage for men is around 30, the "single" portion of the 18-29 sample must be heavily loaded toward the lower end.

In my opinion men started everything. Men initially have higher body count since history, but due to some equality movement and women having jobs and financial stability we tend to have options to be more liberal and have sex with those men who in fuck were the one initiative sex. Men has influence women to be like them hoe. MEN will always become hoe once he has access to sex. So to speak men has higher body count than women.
