The current dating scene is admittedly, not great for men. There are a lot of controversial communities both on and off Reddit that discuss this problem, but that's a can of worms I don't want to open right now. What I will say is that I honestly believe that most single men would be better off pursuing self-improvement and self-care instead of spending their time dating and/or trying to get laid. For myself, I am much happier simply going to the gym, getting my EMT certification, and trying to advance my career. Even though I'm quite busy, I still have a lot of free time to play sports and video games with friends. I want to take up chessboxing soon. Unfortunately, society conditions men to value their self-worth on how many dates they can pull. I find this to be an unhealthy attitude, one that contributes to a lot of the current problems in society today.

One fundamental truth I believe is this: you can't give your heart to someone else until you love yourself first. I don't think men love themselves enough right now.
