There is so much hatred and resentment directed at men, today, that you have to make a huge effort not to become a misogynist yourself, as a man.

What I do, personally, is I try to remember that these men-hating women also hate women! They hate everything about women. They hate femininity, female charm, female natural behavior, and often, they hate heterosexuality. They hate giving birth, raising kids, creating a home, and say these things are degrading for women. They hate the family unit. They hate women at home. All they want is to see women be men without the genitals! Feminist women are the most misogynist people in our society. They have for a long time attempted to kill every traditionally and/or naturally feminine trait in women.

The men writing the laws and pulling the strings have no reason to care because they are rich and powerful, so the only ones who do care about men’s rights are those with little to no power to do anything about it.

i don't think thats ever going to happen because its essentially human nature from what i understand, evolutionary "jumps" happen through men . being male is essentially being part of a giant group of genetic lotteries , so theres the gigantic genetic losers but also the gigantic genetic winners. all the furthest genetic jumps are among men from what i understand, so most evolution happens with us. and theres also the whole dog eat dog thing on top of that to make sure only the tippy top of genetic quality of men succeed. its pretty crazy to think about. being male is basically being in a gladitorial ring with zero rules, because the whole point is to make sure only the best survive lol.

you can look into it further but this is just from amateur research i've done on evolutionary biology. and ofc this kind of research is probably censored by woke pieces of shit so keep that in mind . there might be a dearth of this kind of research.

I agree but it needs to start at a young age for any success. Support groups for men or women are a great thing but the leaders need to put a quick and hard stop to anything that would victimize the other group as a whole or even causes their own victim mentality.

There are a lot of shitty men out there who are physically abusive and there are a lot of women out there who are mentally abusive but it's not all men or all women.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if s lot of this behavior stems from how poorly we handle early childhood development We are so concerned with some seemily pointless classes and giving enough homework than we are about teaching kids proper life skills. We don't have classes by default that help kids handle their emotions past kindergarten, we don't even have class on how credit cards or the credit score system works.

So when Becky gets needy and finally gets broken up with it's all their fault and fuck men which will resonate with others more and cause others to think differently.

If you want things to change, you need to find the root cause first

Most people don't like to admit, but men really should love each other more instead keep competing against each other, the ingroup and outgroup bias disparity between the two sex is pretty obvious.

On individual level this might look trivial, but when on a societal scale, it became the root cause.

I don't agree with that, but I see what you are saying. Women have certainly been treated differently. While women were (generally) more protected, less feared and had less strenuous/debilitating jobs, they had fewer options in most regards.

One thing men need to start doing is caring more about men.

When my life was at it's worst, men were incredibly supportive. Your mileage may vary, but I was shocked at how many men noticed my anguish and responded with genuine concern. I see the world differently after what I've been through. I think men have always been supportive of each other, but some of the support is complicated.

Men and the women who support our issues need to unabashedly and unapologetically support, promote, and fund said issues.

We need to stop trying to appeal to those who categorically oppose our issues. They cannot be convinced; any comprise with them results in them taking another step away. It results in demands for more compromise. They do not participate in these conversations with good faith.

If you speak with someone about a male issue and they insult, degrade, or diminish men as a result, or they immediately respond with a women’s issue, we must learn to disengage.

We have to stop contorting our issues in an attempt to make them palatable to Feminist narratives. It is fruitless and Feminists know it. They know that every time we compromise, we cede ideological ground, so then they demand more ground.

Do not engage with the radicals. The only winning move is not to play.

Just yesterday i had a conversation with a friend about "how men and women should treat each other".

Men and chivalry, 100%. But then she said "if a man takes me out, he pays." But strangely, not on the first date, but every date afterwards. She then said "if a man takes me to a dinner and he pays, i'll later take him to a bakery and its fair play.

And she failed to understand why i was getting upset about it. How does a 40$ dinner equal to 2$ bagels in the bakery?? If you MADE the bagel, thats fair play. You bought the stuff, organized it all, spent time cooking, etc. But you literally took 2$ out of your wallet and said its fair play.

We argued for about 20min minimum, until the argument stopped, because apparently i'm "too stubborn" and it's "impossible to tell me anything nowadays" and "i should finally get laid so i stop this attitude"

women and men have different disadvantages. feminism has addressed most of the ways that women are disadvantaged. but I'm places where feminism doesn't hold sway, with still have it pretty bad in some ways.

historically, women have had plenty of disadvantages. not being able to own property, attend school, participate in science, vote.

As much as it sucks. Its also a strength.

I faced homeless for a while in my late teens. I was over 18 so legally and adult, but not like a REAL adult yet right, and as a dude, I knew I was a bit SOL if I tried to find a shelter or anything.

So I picked my sorry ass up. Asked the only friend I had if I could crash on their couch. Got a job literally moving boxes 10 hours a day. Worked the shitty 24-30 hour shifts no one wanted for months and moved on with my life once I was able.

Now I make more than the people I went to high-school with. Have a university degree in medicine with a paid off student loan and am looking at getting a mortgage before 25, solo, in this economy.

If there was a shelter, or a million people to look after me, would I be here? Or would I trapped in the homelessness loop that some unfortunately aren't as lucky to escape.

If you don't have a safety net. You'll be surprised how hard you'll be able to push yourself trying not to fall.

It is still bullshit though.

The same thing goes for men. Attractive men are treated better too.

The same way people born into wealthy families are more likely to be wealthy later in life.

Gotta look at the whole picture, sometimes it's not about gender, it's about even bigger problems with how society works.

Ancient Greece, those areas back then women and girls often really did have it hard. I could say the same for parts of the middle east.

But in much of the western world they often had it not as bad, no more than the average male for a few centuries at least.

My beef is how their challenges get focused on far more than the reverse in the current age. Maybe that'll change so equality will be true.

Women have not always been treated better. In some ways, yes. In other ways, no. Women used to be a traded commodity basically.

Would you want your sole purpose in life to be serving kids and a wife with no freedom or very limited choices outside of that?

Would you want to live as a woman back in the day when it was absolutely acceptable to be sexually harassed and it was even encouraged openly by other men? I'm 53. It was still pretty acceptable to make very sexually suggestive statements to a woman not so long ago.

Would you want your educational choices to be severely limited like they were for women not so long ago?

Would you want every life decision made by your husband with no input (if that's the way he chooses to run his household... not saying that's how all men were back then)?

Would you want to depend on another person financially for your whole life- first your parents, then your spouse? Don't forget that can mean you have no voice in financial decisions (depending on what kind of man your spouse is).

Would you like to me told your whole value is based on your looks and your servitude (similar to how some women base a man's worth solely on provision)?

Don't get me wrong, I think it's close to equal in many of the ways I listed, but you said ALWAYS. No, women back then were treated like children and depending on the man... sometimes mistreated.

One thing I'm starting to realize I think is that men publicly compete against one another but privately we support each other.

In contrast women very publicly support one another (or give the appearance of support) but privately tear each other down, like with fake niceness, gossip, rumours, and passive aggressiveness.

Men unfortunately have to compete against each other to get women, but the struggles we face is definitely something we bond over as well.

The unfortunate reality this causes is a public appearance that men do not need and do not want support, and it is very unpopular in politics to support men, and why men at the top often don't do it even if they wanted to (which is rare, because you kinda need to be selfish/ruthless if you want to get to the top).

While the more right-leaning political groups might give the appearance of supporting men, what they're actually doing though is supporting older gender roles, which can help men in some ways but also cripple and constrain men in others.

So yeah men might get support privately from friends and people around them, in public and in politics men have basically no support.

Women meanwhile have all the public and political support, and leverage that to get as much support from men in private as well, ignoring how women can tear other women down privately.

I could be wrong, this is more like a stream of consciousness as I'm realizing this and building up the case in my head, so feel free to point out any contradictions or corrections I should make.

I've noticed that when I listen to the retail radio where I work, that men are always singing about how amazing women are and how they can't live without them. Women sing about how they're amazing and perfect the way they are. Everything is all about women.
