I'm leary of anything that tries to categorise everything into neat boxes, but I do think the theory of love languages holds some merit. I'm just interested because I saw a post by a woman somewhere saying men will say their love language is touch, but just use it to mean sex.

Personally, mine is touch. I only really express it with my mother and grandmother as bear hugging your friends isn't really socially acceptable, but the two times I've cuddled with a woman I absolutely melted (one time I genuinely bit my lip until it bled to stop myself from crying). It's not linked to sex at all.

So, members of PPD: what is your opinion on the theory of love languages, and if applicable what is yours?
