It's helping the men actually as they're dodging the bullets. I mean don't you think it's great that men now can find out if their partners are misandrists or not by their interest in this movie?

[–]DTreatz 129 points130 points131 points 2 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Neo:

"What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?"

Morpheus:

"No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to."

[–]Shogun_397K 17 points18 points19 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Omg that brings back memories

[–]TheSilverShade 6 points7 points8 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Neo : "Whoa"

Pops: “It’s not a mess son, it’s a dance; it’s a beautiful dance. Honestly, when things are good with me and your momma, I never feel more alive.” Dre: “Until she tries to kill you.” Pops: “Well then I feel lucky to be alive. I told you, it’s a dance.”

[–]Lonewolf_087 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup

[–]ZekalMacabre 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. These idiot feminists are outing themselves and freeing up these men for REAL relationships.

[–]NHS_24[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True 😂.

Next fucging level.

If a woman dumps you over this, she did you a huge favor.

[–]mosehalpert 236 points237 points238 points 2 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

My boss is the absolute patron Saint of the American dream, while also being a woman. She saw the movie and thought it was disgusting. The woman moved to a foreign country at 18 and has been an entrepreneur ever since. She has owned businesses, placed massage chairs in airports, the woman doesn't have a non entrepreneurial bone in her body.

She felt nothing but belittled by the barbie movie. She doesn't need media to shove down her throat that girls are just as capable to remind her of it. She made it on her own without any movement. She was a strong, capable business woman long before any barbie movement came along. If you needed a movie to tell you that you are capable..

I'm sorry but you probably aren't.

[–]free8765 104 points105 points106 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I love these women, they don’t whine about their lot in life they get on and fix it without blaming everyone else.

Can someone please tell the feminists that any man or woman who has to boast how strong and independent they are, probably aren’t!

[–]gunny316 29 points30 points31 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My significant other is a very successful small business owner and she's pretty aggressively anti-feminist, and she's also extremely independent and self-sufficient. She makes more money than I do (I'm divorced and pay over half my income to child support), and is waiting for the kids to grow up so she can quit her job and be a stay at home wife.

I find it more than hilarious that the best deterrent to radical feminism is successful, independent, confident women.

[–]NibblyPig 23 points24 points25 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't even think it takes someone like that to feel that way. I like to assume women aren't stupid, when I see a male dominated field like computer science, of which 97% of people on my course were male, when almost every single poster is advertised with young women doing it, surely if you're a woman you feel demeaned that they're deliberately doing that to try and tell you, hey women totally do this too (even though they don't), just look at these stock models!

Meanwhile despite this advertising, men still for some reason sign up and study it almost exclusively? It's almost as if they sign up because they want to do it, not because a bunch of posters had men doing it on them.

That first one is an oof. "I'm never on the same project long", is not something to brag about.

If you are good, project managers fight to keep you on their project.

If project managers are shuffling you around to a new team, it's because they will take less of a productivity hit getting someone else up to speed on the project than keeping you around. Sometimes it means that they will take less of a productivity hit from having an empty chair on their team than keeping you around.

[–]brainhack3r 31 points32 points33 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm sorry but you probably aren't.

I've built and sold 3 companies. The amount of "you can do it" attitude that feminists has is completely nonsensical.

Women believe they can do these things but they simply can't. Not because they're women but because their business plans are stupid.

One of the reasons I quit dating is because a lot of women are convinced they're "entrepreneurs" and CEOs when in reality what they have is a shitty Etsy store with no barrier to entry, no moat, no growth strategy, no distribution strategy, etc.

One of these feminists idiots got to my GF and she became CONVINCED she was going to be a "girl boss" and started a cleaning business with no business experience, didn't do any research, etc.

I flat out told her it was going to fail, why it was going to fail, but of course she wrote me off as being "not supportive" and "toxic" and we broke up over it.

Of course, her business failed for the exact reasons I laid in front of her.

[–]long566 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes mate, pointing out the truth and common sense as a man can get you labelled as such. Then next it would've been your tone and delivery also scrutinised.

[–]NDN2021 17 points18 points19 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Now that's a strong woman! Someone who doesn't blame others and has a work ethic and cares about others.

[–]ABlindCookie 7 points8 points9 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

An ACTUALLY strong and independant woman. Ladies, take notes

[–]Fundip_sticks 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The one woman I know that qualifies to actually be a “bad bitch” or “boss babe” cringes at those terms. Nor is she a bitch at all. She is quite pleasant to speak to and be around.

[–]qtyapa 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women who tend to live a true femists life in real sense, rarely talk abput empowerment and the media talking points.

[–]NHS_24[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True 😂😂😂.

[–]Wide_Pace_2133 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I haven't watched barbie but something about 'women can do ...' being told all the time just seems.. Idk, weird I guess.

[–]napes22 20 points21 points22 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Came here to say this. You don't want to be with someone who makes major life decisions based on the Barbie movie.

[–]aChileanDude 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

goooooooood riddance

I hope they make Barbie 2.

[+]avocado-afficionado -13 points-12 points-11 points 2 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I watched the Barbie movie with my fiancé (I’m F he’s M). I feel like we actually had really good conversations because of this. Now given, we’re both pretty strongly egalitarian and I don’t think there was anything fundamental that we disagree with each other about, but the Barbie movie was eye-opening in some ways for both of us and we were mature enough to talk about it like adults.

[–]Current_Finding_4066 7 points8 points9 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What conclusion have you reached together or what was eye opening?

[–]avocado-afficionado 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That Barbie did a very bad job at making “the patriarchy” look bad lol. Also, there are a lot of things that suck about living as a woman just as there are a lot of things that suck about living as a man

[–]Current_Finding_4066 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True. This is why I am tired of constant feminist whining about patriarchy and male privilege.

[–]JustBeingMe426 -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh boo hoo. You know how many movies come out each year that portray women badly and we dont react this way? Get over it!

[–]ZekalMacabre 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

All feminism is fragile femininity.

[–]NHS_24[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So f**king true 😂😂😂

[–]AndyBrown65 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I haven't noticed...

[+]Super-Hall62 -81 points-80 points-79 points 2 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Do you seriously believe this post?

[–]AndyBrown65 40 points41 points42 points 2 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

LOL

[+]Super-Hall62 -58 points-57 points-56 points 2 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Ok, believe people are breaking up with their partners over a barbie movie

[–]AndyBrown65 22 points23 points24 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There would be some idiots, but this is propaganda

[–]Hamakua 22 points23 points24 points 2 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

There are absolutely people breaking up with their partners over a barbie movie. Have you never been in a relationship with a woman before? They will break up over far far far less than a message in a movie.

[+]Super-Hall62 -38 points-37 points-36 points 2 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

why are you generalizing all women? I stand for mensrights, not sexism.

[–]Shogun_397K 15 points16 points17 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I believe youre right. We arent perfect. We shouldnt be generalizing things to every women but i do also believe that there are people willing to break up over this

[+]Super-Hall62 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think I can definitely see that happening with this kind of movie

[+]Super-Hall62 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was just a bit shocked

[–]Ricmath 7 points8 points9 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He didn't generalize, he just said that these things can happen.

[–]9chars 6 points7 points8 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Because it IS the majority. Apples are red! Don't generalize because some apples are not red. OK, but most of them are. At least half it not more. It isn't a generalization when it is in fact TRUE.

[+]Super-Hall62 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Unless we have a magic wand, there is no way we can determine the percentage of women who act like this. Just because you meet bad women doesn't mean all of them are bad. What if you had a daughter? Would you talk about her this way? So, to you, at least half of the women in the world will break up with their partners after seeing Barbie? Do you not hear yourself? You say these things about women, and you expect them not to hate you?

[–]johanis15 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Go ask 100 women if men deserve more human rights and see how many of them laugh in your face. Maybe you will stop being a simp when you realise how bigoted most of them are.

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 32 points33 points34 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like both people got what they wanted.

[–]free8765 47 points48 points49 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’ve had a word with all the other men and we’ve decided we’re ok with it. Makes it easier to find the nice well adjusted and reasonable women lol

[–]NHS_24[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your life your choice.

[–]PlzSendDunes 58 points59 points60 points 2 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So a relationship is broken over a movie... that's how little they value their relationship and are open to other people's opinions... It's almost like they want an indentured servant and not a boyfriend...

[–]Ricmath 11 points12 points13 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They are shallow and immature children who pretend to be adult women.

[+]Super-Hall62 -14 points-13 points-12 points 2 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This post is not real. It is so obvious

[–]Shogun_397K 13 points14 points15 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Proof it isnt real?

[+]OrneryError1 -9 points-8 points-7 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's not how the burden of proof works. That's like saying proof that Bigfoot isn't real.

[–]PlzSendDunes 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have seen in feminist circles women encouraging divorcing men over not liking Barbie movie. Same in feminist sub a woman asking whether she should divorce her boyfriend because he didn't like the movie.

I do not think you understand seriousness of situation. Feminist idealogy is breaking relationships apart and encouraging women to act irrationally in order to control what men should think or like. There will be no good outcome out of this.

[–]Huge_Buddy_2216 7 points8 points9 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just enjoy the fact that the most profound message to come out of the feminist movement in decades—something that has spawned hundreds of articles and influenced tens of thousands of women—came from a fictional movie about a plastic doll primarily marketed to girls between the ages of 3 and 10.

These people revolve their lives and personalities around the pop culture that they consume, and that is a hilariously pathetic way to live.

[–]aries0413 8 points9 points10 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rename article ... Men being save when GF dumps them over barbie.

[–]MisterBowTies 9 points10 points11 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Its time for men to stand aside"

Ok, every man working in dangerous and dirty jobs that are necessary for society to functionn stand aside and let women do your job. Not marketing for the company or managing, doing your actual job.

[–]Mobile_Lumpy 7 points8 points9 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol, they should thank the movie for saving them money on a expensive divorce.

[–]Anih1list 50 points51 points52 points 2 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

This is such a psyop. Use your brain. OBVIOUSLY people are not dumping their SOs over a stupid movie in particularly high numbers. That’s ridiculous moral panic bullshit. I myself refuse to watch that shit.

[–]plumberack 34 points35 points36 points 2 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

It's believable to me. They are of course counting stories from TikTok. In-group bias is a hive mind characteristic. If one is doing it and it's trending, other feminists follow it.

[–]Vibekindddd 24 points25 points26 points 2 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Hive-mind is a hell of a thing and the Barbie marketing team was fucking huge. Saw thousands girls posting “outfits” on Reddit that they were going to go see Barbie in just on Reddit. The average American is a fucking idiot and is owned and guided by marketing teams.

[–]SecTeff 8 points9 points10 points 2 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Yes it’s a great boom for Mattel, especially insidious is how they monetise dissent against their brand. For example producing a film that mocks and satirises itself. Adorno would be turning in his grave - with the culture industry stuff.

It also shows us how mainstream feminist thinking is with its ability to be mainstream popular. A truly avant guard film would challenge assumptions and perceptions.

[–]Vibekindddd 11 points12 points13 points 2 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

I had a thought, today, laying with my girl in bed.
When I’m not around and roaming around, I see what she watches on streaming services. Women are a demographic to profit off of, so pandering to them makes total sense.

She was watching the Great on Hulu. It’s supposed to be a dramatized biopic on Catherine the Great of Russia. They turned Peter III, her husband, into a bourgeois fool who’s only literal purpose is to eat her pussy (seriously, though, it’s specified) and fuck everything up. I can’t stand the show.

You see this pandering by making most male lead roles a bumbling fool and the female spouse being the voice of reason, we’ve seen it for decades.

Marketing companies pander to this demographic just like the male demographic but the Barbie movie has an unusual heavy-hitting marketing campaign behind it, I believe it broke financial records on marketing. In short, it panders to the feminazi alt-left misandrists.

The true bane is seeing MensLib subreddit whiteknight the fuck out of it (Barbie) with insane cuckoldry and self-loathing.

I remember about half a decade ago, crawling out of a different girls’ bed in the morning and she was inquiring about finite details of my life and she made the statement, “I don’t fuck CIS-guys, they’re toxic.” (I fucked her several times, though) - I can’t help but think that part of what is going on is a social and cultural response to what women claim to want or think they want. Our drive for reproduction can cause the primal brain to go against many other primal responses.

How far will some go? Just as bisexuality was the edgy, alternative, of my generation; transsexualism is the next generation’s rebellious mold of defiance to social normalcy. How much of this is simply one trying to culturally fit in? Conforming against nonconformity. These are rhetorical questions and a bit of a rant but as I age, it’s so interesting to me to observe sociological changes of the hive-mind in America.

I truly ponder, what’s next after Gen Z?

Positions: Long Futures on Cat Food and Box Wine

[–]ImOverIt0011 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

How do you overlook this stuff with your partner? It's been an issue for me because I know I simply can't speak candidly around women about anything because they are all so obvious to reality.

[–]Vibekindddd 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I love her with all my heart, but with that being said, logic has to stay forthright…. I know that if I drone on about how the Bachelor is scripted and fucking ridiculous it will only trigger an emotional response, it won’t give me the positive logical result. I make my position known and just let sleeping dogs lie.

Also don’t get married if you have any transparent assets, I’m a nomad and live minimally, isn’t much to take in a divorce if the court system could even find it. 😉

[–]knight_call1986 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nomad life is the way. I am a minimalist and have found that not having many things has made my life easier.

[–]SecTeff 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I love my wife and she is excellent, however I could sense her getting emotionally triggered when I expressed a view that Barbie was anti-men.

We have a very equal relationship and she considers me to be a good ‘non-toxic man’. I don’t press MRA stuff in our relationship though as she is still on a journey as far as that goes.

Recently she experienced our son being discriminated against due to his sex at his school. So she’s coming around to my line that both sexes face different forms of discrimination

[–]Vibekindddd 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I see reverse discrimination in the form of affirmative action in career hiring and promotional regard towards transgenders without merit, and I’m not even on the West Coast. I imagine it must be much worse in primary school if I’m seeing it in adulthood. I by no means express my politics or opinions for fear of retribution, which is ironically the same tribulations that LGBTQRSTUV argues they face. The hypocrisy has shifted and I’m going to call it for what it is—hypocrisy. I’m a male who likes women. Fuck me right for not adapting to social trends, eh?

I say this as someone who, a decade ago, used to argue that sexuality was fluid, and people can like who they want to like. I have a 100+ body count, and lived on the fringes of society with an open heart. These same individuals would love to witch-hunt me. I have always advocated for equality for all. I can’t go outside or turn on a television or view any social media without seeing virtue signaling towards this new narrative. Children are much more malleable. I understand why genitals are being cut off due to this social wasteland.

Interesting reply, thanks for posting.

I did try a couple of posts on men’s lib board but found myself getting censored quite a bit. Rather frustrating as I would consider myself a supporter for first wave feminism, and also I’d even say second wave feminism had a lot of good points about how gender can be socially constructed. But you need to totally subscribe to things like intersectionality to fit in there.

You are right about markets providing to audiences. The movie has been a huge success financially and they hit the nail on the head by serving up viewpoints that recipients think are radical while actually being very status quo and mainstream.

What would have been more radical is to make the link that the Ken’s treatment was the same as the original objectifying depiction of women by Mattel and Barbies in the 40s and 50s. Think of “those who fight monsters should be careful they don’t become monsters”

I’d love as well to see someone who wants to be a mother and play with baby dolls being terrorised by the climbing the corporate ladder Barbie vision of feminine power.

I was banned on MensLib immediately. That’s the problem with Reddit, it’s nothing but an echo-chamber. It’s still social media as much as we may argue it’s not. Dissenting opinions will always be downvoted/banned and it increases zealotry on all sides.

I don't think you realize just how much of a hivemind women really are. Most women can't even decide if she wants to have sex with a man without consulting with her friends first. Not to mention the amount of women who destroy good relationships with men because her friends convinced her to do it.

[–]sre01 9 points10 points11 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One of the main problems my last relationship has was that our problems had to always involve her entire fucking friend group. Then her friends would throw their opinion on the mix and then they would find out what I really thought of them.

I always thought that was a serious advantage. Having a whole crew behind you who can detect and save you from red flags sounds awesome. Yeah it sucks for us guys, but maybe we should just try to do the same sorta thing.

It is VERY well documented that women are highly likely to act based on the perceived trend of their "peer group".

It's one of the reasons why there has been something like a 4000% increase in young girls identifying as LGBT in the last 4 years. It's trendy.

[–]AdventurousCow8206 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]zahhak_king -2 points-1 points0 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To my knowledge, in medieval times, castles were designed with the towers' walls in a way to give a right-handed defender the advantage from above and a right-handed attacker the disadvantage while going up but lefthanded people had the opposite problem being better at going up. Good at acting = demon, then it kind of stuck for a while

[–]Tapis_Intermediate 10 points11 points12 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lol. Could it be any funnier? If that’s all it takes ….well see ya! I honestly have little respect for any guy that goes to watch this tripe. Any woman that drags a partner along as a form of test is not only manipulative but so narcissistic you’d be crazy to stay in a relationship.

[–]Ryunysus 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

From what I have seen on social media, young men are unironically taking the message that they are ''Kenenough", that they are good just as they are. I feel that may not have been the target message of the film but because of Gosling's acting he has overshadowed Margot and Ken became subversive .

[–]OrneryError1 -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean that's a fair takeaway from the movie because part of the plot is the Kens realizing their worth isn't defined by attention from the Barbies.

[–]mvong123 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The movie is a blessing, it helped dodge countless bullets.

[–]bottleblank 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean, really, is that all it takes for you to dump someone?

How "strong and independent" is it to throw away a person who you previously found attractive and presumably emotionally or physically beneficial to be around just because they did or didn't watch a movie, in the midst of a hype storm where everybody is unquestioningly agreeing with the movie's message?

You can be better. You should be better. Why would you piss away real life love and respect purely on the basis that a movie based on a corporate plastic doll told you that boys have cooties men don't deserve you? Do you have any idea how pathetic and easily led that makes you look?

So much for showing them who's boss. You're lapping it up. They don't care about your happiness, they don't care about your pain, they don't care about your future prospects, they care about the fat wads of cash people are forking over to go and see their big box office movie, nothing more, nothing less.

[–]2016IsGreat 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]ImOverIt0011 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yup that was a wild ride and based on different things people have said I thought a similar pattern was there though it haven't seen it personally.

Seeing the Barbie as a monolith really gave me the corporate vibe and the space odyssey reference was great there.

Seeing the girls smash the barbies in rage really was coherent with early feminist and theosophical pagan goddess references which had no children themselves.

The world is dystopian and superficial. Like duh. It's not a good place to be. The only thing that brings any humanity to the movie is Ken stepping up and asserting some masculinity which the Barbies love.

And the meta-reality of the world, the real world is basically saying look we want traditional life not fake girlboss life.

It's really a matrix level movie in how on point it is for the time. I think it's low key genius because it's appealing to women's ego and at the same time it will have a powerful retrospective effect as people go "omg I love that movie!" And a few years from now people are going ehhh you get the meaning right?

I wondered why Ryan Gosling would have been in a movie that had negative anti male messaging because he's always played dynamic and complex characters who suffered almost by cause of masculine struggle, you'd think he would know better right? But this role is extremely meta for him the mofo knew exactly what he was doing and in eminent history at least this will be a role that solidifies him not only as a great actor but a very self aware dude imo.

I believe this movie was a trojan horse.

[–]vmBob -2 points-1 points0 points 2 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you think it was intentionally made that way, you're insane. If you think they're just so divorced from reality that they thought they were making a positive point but in reality anybody sane would see how horribly wrong they were, I can buy that.

[–]ImOverIt0011 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Idk man the writer herself said it's meant to be a dual message. Based on what I've seen there was very selective messaging trying to prove a point.

Why would she say that if it was meant to be an isometric delusional fantasy. Why the significant story arc with the little girl and her mother. Why does Barbie leave boss babe land at the end and go to the real world.

People don't really have a good understanding of feminist history and theory which is very very anti-christian and traditional. So it's not just about equality but rather destroying any traditional values. That's what makes it so anti-mother, anti-father and family etc. A significant portion of the female population possibly even the majority would be happy with traditional gender roles if the economic situation was viable to do so and the writer of this movie seems aware of that imo and is pointing too it.

I think it's just deeper than people realize. Most things in life are.

Also don't call me insane that's rude, you bag of sloppy dicks.

To be completely honest, I'm not very surprised. If you don't fully bend over to the feminist propaganda, you're part of the problem.

It does say something about women if they are willing to put the sisterhood over the one they are supposed to love more than anyone else.

So the demographic that probably identifies the most with Barbie is white women, which is probably the same demographic dumping their boyfriends over a movie. This is actually good. It's really hard to identify if someone who you are dating is a feminist until you are already into the relationship and invested time and emotions. If you are being dumped by a feminist, that's a victory. Feminists are very vindictive. Who knows you might be falsely accused later in life, might get burned in divorce, etc., it's a winning move.

[–]NHS_24[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The craze has been driven by TikTok users who insist that agreeing with the feminist themes in the Barbie film, ‘should be standard in a relationship’.

My parents had very different political opinions on a lot of things, my mother being progressive and my father more conservative. They still loved each other and appreciated each other's company because they had a lot of common interests.

These GenZ TikTok women have been so radicalized by extreme feminism that they can't accept any diverging opinion anymore, it's really frightening and I'm really sad for the young guys out there who just want a nice girlfriend.

Hilarious. Sounds like a self-selecting survival trait, for women who are selecting themselves for childlessness. What kind of narcissist demands that their partner must comply with a narrow sexist world view approved by them?

If anyone really gets dumped by a GF for not liking, watching, or agreeing with this adolescent framing of relationships between men and women, thank your luck stars and move on from that train wreck. You avoided disaster down the track.
