Anytime a guy mentions how he wants a girl who is healthy weight someone on here mentions “But 65% of women are overweight/obese!”. I know that BMI isn’t perfect but let’s just assume that the bodybuilder men and very hourglass women with thick thighs and big breasts who are bordering overweight due to their figure but who are fit are negligible.

With that in mind shouldn’t a guy who is heathy weight and asking for this requirement also be a top 35% man and hence desirable by women, like a Chad-lite?

Unless weight doesn’t matter as much for women. For example they’d prefer a tall clearly overweight male over a short fit dude or a wealthier fat guy over a broke fit dude; compared to men who universally tend to want a girl with healthy weight.

I didn’t make this a change my view because I’m not certain of my hypothesis. There are a few other potential explanations.

1) Women care about weight just as much as men AND other attributes so being top 35% is meaningless

2) The men asking for healthy weight women are overweight or obese hence why they are struggling to find said women

3) “healthy weight” isn’t actually the standard and both men and women want someone who is really fit and model-esque and that is seen as healthy weight.

What do you all think? What are your theories regarding this phenomenon?
