Humans are fallible and malleable to correct their past.

Everyone can change. Value implies a human has a monetary $$ worth. We are not things. We are people. No human has a value. Think of it this way... If you are in a building on fire, do not grab anything, get out of the building because YOU are invaluable and cannot be replaced. Nobody makes you, well... You!

So no. Value does not exist. Every one is special and if they're rotten, they can change.

Its BS. They act like that but they forget that Roe v. Wade was overturned recently. Is there a parallel movement by women to take away men's bodily autonomy by restricting vasectomies and condoms? I think the men's rights people have a zero sum mentality where women's equality = female privilege and oppression against men. Allot of them are just whiners who go to these pages seeking cop outs and someone to blame. Blaming feminism and staying mad at women is easier for them than working on themselves.

I'm sorry if this sounds rough, but this is a reflection of your own insecurities rather than what actually is. It's better to stop comparing yourself to other people; it will lead to never ending discouragement. Also, do you get the same reaction when you see men more successful? Why specifically does seeing women more successful make you feel worthless? That is something you might want to analyze.

In societies that are highly patriarchal, 50% of the population have more rights and advantages than the 50% female half. Of course, this is not perfectly true as wealthy women have more privileges than poor men. But still, there's a clear hierarchy assuming income is equal.

But when women are empowered, the men stop feeling they belong to the upper 50%. Strength doesn't have value in some job markets while the expectation to provide and be the man of the house is still there.

Hence, there's a mismatch of the ideal man (provider, dominant over women, husband) vs. reality (a lot of women make the same money, want men at their level or higher up the economic ladder, or reject marriage).

Why do you feel you lose value because a woman earns more money than you? She goes to school, works hard, and earns money, but why would that have anything to do with how you live your life?

The first mistake you are making is getting these people to make you think your sole value as a person only has to do with sex an relationships.

What do you value yourself for? Maybe you shared some time off your mile/1600m run. Maybe you got promoted or got a better job. Or you may be really good at very weird an specific things but good nevertheless.

Figure out your own life and what you want to do with it. Think in away as if you are the only person in the world but you also have infinite resources, like mine craft survival or something. From there add in real life factors like friends, challengers to overcome, limited time and just see how close you can get to how your want that life to be.

No, everyone moves at their own pace, and in some way I kind of understand you when we feel desesperate in seeing others achieve different stuff and thinking 'I haven't done anything'. U as guys as men have your characteristics that make you valuable, and us as women have our own, in our own unique way. I don't think we as women are more valuable than you nor do I think you as men as more valuable than us women. We each have different skills, physical characteristics, personal ones as well that make us unique, even better when we find the right person to complement them with.

The mens rights movement, and that subreddit, has always been men who have some legitimate gripes misplacing blame and hurt.

Patriarchy is bad for everyone. Patriarchy is bad for men. So men have every reason to want better social justice for the unique ways patriarchal societal norms and values baked into all our social systems treats them. Men are mistreated.

Mens rights advocates though who blame women or feminims, instead of blaming the patriarchy, are just angry misogynists who got cognitive dissonance. Like, one part of them doesn't want to believe they are sexist against women because they know full well that's stigmatized and bad, but they also have these patently sexist feelings about women, but they don't want to be bad; hence, a cognitive dissonance patch: I'm not sexist, I'm just a men's rights activist.

Men have legitimate gripes about the special ways society treats and tortures them versus people of different sex/gender. But men's right activists misplace the blame on feminism and women, not patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy -- and other shitty societal systems that fuck us all over.

Yea that's where you're going wrong. Don't go in there. It's trash. It's just another place for angry men to cherry pick whatever they can find to make it seem like men have it worse. Yes, there are problems men are facing, but these guys aren't interested in doing anything about it by doing something useful like dismantling patriarchal norms. They just want to cherry pick certain cases/scenarios and edit them to make it seem like men have it worse.

Lots of men your age also achieve more than you. Lots of women also achieve less than you. Again cherry picking.

Sometimes yes, but it's often not the way they talk about it.

Take for example men's suicide rates. Men commit suicide more often than women, but women attempt suicide more often than men. The difference is that men are more likely to use a more violent method - possibly because it seems more masculine - while women will use less violent methods - possibly because even in death they feel the need to worry about their appearance. i.e. The reason men successfully commit suicide more often and why women fail more often is - at least partly - down to societal pressure to do everything in your life along gendered norms that demonstrate your masculinity/femininity.

Or how about child custody in divorces? Well, women are more likely to win those because society still sees women as the primary care givers and men as the primary bread winners. A woman is expected to raise a child, a man is expected to work - even if it means he'll be largely absent from his child. Which then also means that he has better career opportunities than her. It's also often down to the fact that in domestic abuse cases, we're more likely to see men as the perpetrators and women as the victims, and so the expectation is often that men are less capable of looking after children. But then that's down to the behaviour of men; both in terms of men who commit violent abuse, and men who uphold a pressure on other men to be masculine, preventing them from speaking up when they are victims of abuse from their wives/girlfriends (thus skewing statistics and thus skewing general perspectives).

The thing is, yes, men are facing a crisis in many aspects, but the reason is often the exact same reason that women are: patriarchy and toxic masculinity. But MRAs refuse to accept that and just shout "Look! Women have it so easy and so much better than men! And they're doing nothing to help us!" When really, the responsibility still lies in those who uphold destructive gender norms, which also just happen to be the same people that MRAs often support (Jordan Peterson, generally conservative politicians etc).

Ie a woman ha a value being able of childbirth, but not as a person with free will and tastes. Redpill guys want women like them cause they want it, but it is a negation about women's individuality and tastes. Some of it is true, some an exaggeration, and some a biological fact and not a true problem. If you look at warfare and genocides, get rid of most men and a population can bounce back, get rid of most women and a population goes near extinct. Because of this, and the woman's biological role in gestation, men are hardwired to treat women novel amd give them some privileges. This is why on a sinking ship, women and children are put on lifeboats before the men.

Some of what you are talking about stems from this, that men are treated by society as valuable only based on what they can do and what they are willing to sacrifice, but this is not true in all situations. Within a loving family, boys are treated as inherently valuable.

Another aspect that you seem to allude to is the school system. English is required all the way up to grade 12 or senior year, and curriculums are often centered around books that are more interesting to the girls. This may not be deliberate favor of women, but rather an imbalance of female teachers and administrators because of a social bias towards putting women in teaching roles.

This bias leads to the next area where women are greatly favored which is the legal system. Family court is highly biased towards women, especially where children are involved, and so is the criminal justice system. Men receive much more severe sentences for similar crimes, and women are far more often awarded custody.

After all that is said, there are social biases towards women in some parts of society. Value is a subjective term. There are still some places where you will have an advantage and opportunities that women don't. I feel the same way. As a society us men are judged on how much we earn. We’re in an era where the economy has been shaky and wages are not rising with inflation. Women have also entered the workforce and are honestly more attractive than ever. On one hand, there is an opportunity for men to become as valuable as women but it seems like it’s hard to obtain. Hence, all the talk about how most women only want the top percent of guys. Maybe this is just all nonsense coming from a young man that works in retail and doesn’t look the most attractive.

It is a complete lie. The truth is that Money is what most ppl care about. Doesn‘t matter what gender you are. If you‘re rich, you‘ll be coddled and constantly framed as a genious and a legend. If you‘re poor, you‘ll be treated like a failure. Even if you work 10 times as hard as the rich person. When they slack off, ppl call it „being a ceo and doing business.“ when a poor person slacks off usually from exhaustion, ppl look down on them. It‘s all social bias and brainwashing. And the only reason these men think women have higher value is cause they are desperate for women‘s attention and are simultaneously assuming that they must have it better cause they are, and here is an actual truth many of you may not even know, emotionally healthy because unlike men, women are socialized to be more openly emotional and close to people. While for men there‘s a sense of emotional neglect and intended stunting of emotional growth and complexity by shaming any feeling that isn‘t „neutral“ or „anger“ basically. You can hear this a lot from trans men who experienced both worlds essentially. They‘ll tell you that the „man world“ feels isolating and depressingly emotionally dead compared to the „women‘s world“ counterpart. And I feel that this is the reason why ppl also assume women are doing better cause they have what many men lack wich is socally accepted vulnerability. And besides, if you do mean it being about the fact women can have kids, that to me is not nearly as socially empowering as it may seem. In fact in most cases women feel objectified and pressured into having kids wich many also regret or are angry about justifyably so. In fact the idea even that the goal of women socially being moms to a kid and nothing more is incredibly dehumanizing as well. At least for men the socially accepted life is not as narrow. And they get to be more than just a baby machine and caretaker. Women are so often socially shunned for wanting anything else actually. Not to mention that in general, if women were of su h high value, guns wouldn‘t have more human rights than women. At least in the US. If anything, the idea of women being higher value socially speaking is generally idiotic i feel. Cause in reality most poor women face a lot of the same issues poor men do and at the end of the day, money is the god of capitalism and so what is of value in that system is how much of it one can generate. Not what gender they are.
