I feel like some of the advice people still give about texting is very "early 2000s".

I mostly spend time with people in their mid-20s to mid-30s and in my anecdotal experience it's totally normal to text with people (friends, family, partners) throughout the day. Which wasn't the case as much a decade or more ago, when a lot of the common seduction advice on the internet was formulated.

So I do wonder how that change in texting habits affects the early parts of dating especially (first couple of weeks). On the one hand, I get the idea that you can't really make much of an emotional impact through texts. On the other hand, a lot of people (at least in my circles) do text regularly throughout the day with friends and family too. So it would seem logical to me, that being in that bubble of people who they check in with regularly throughout the day, would be a desirable goal in seduction.
