OP, you are absolutely correct. Girls don't like nice guys. I'm not saying you can't treat a girl with respect, and kindness, but that being kind is a bonus after she's recognized that you're a confident male with intent.

First off, you need to read the sidebar content. You're not going to get a few tricks out of comments and expect to turn your life around. You don't need tips and tricks, you need a complete, radical, mental change. First off, instead of internally seeking your strength, you've come here to wallow in pity and talk about how cool your friend is for getting girls. It's a first step, at least, that you've recognized that your game is shit, but with that I need you to see your own weakness. A strong male will run into obstacles, he will feel this way time to time, but he needs to look forward and identify the problems and solutions to his issues. This is a confident male.

Dude, one of the biggest, most helpful things that I've read and heard about seduction, is that women don't know what they're attracted to. When society tells you to be the "nice guy," they're not setting you up for success, they're trying to corral you into a submissive, controllable pawn. Look at all the great men in the world, do you think they got there following society's expectations of a "well behaved man"?

There is absolutely no question, being nice isn't the key to getting women. I want to make it clear though, there is a difference between being nice and doing things for women in the hopes for a return of affection. If you want to marry some 200 lb Mexican house-keeper that'll pop you out babies, then go ahead and be nice, you'll eventually settle for some lard and a sub-par future, only to be forever forgotten in history, your life overly average, and just another number in the population problem.

But jesus, I'm not going to change your life in a comment, and if you aren't willing to work forever, then you can be forever alone, wallowing in pity and watching your friend start to change himself for the better. If you don't want that lifestyle, read the fucking sidebar and get to working on yourself.

You're not that nice a guy. You're just afraid of confrontation. You stew in your own anger and it seeps out in the way you talk about people, the way you think about people, and I'm sure even the way you act towards women. They can sense it and it's not remotely attractive to them. Do you think they're going to hang out and be intimate with someone who shames them for what they find attractive?

Depends on what you mean by good guys. Girls like a self-made, confident man. Girls like adventure and fun (don't we all...) and who's more likely to provide that: the 9-5 professional who doesn't do anything fun, or the "bad guys" who have nothing but time and no restraints on their hand. You can imagine.

It works both ways. You want a pretty girl who is fun and nice. She wants a confident, cute guy who likes to have fun. Be that guy and you'll get that girl.

Are you taking action? Tell me what steps you have made in the last year to progress in seduction. Your dream girls aren't going to magically appear out of nowhere. You can do many things; approach more, build self-confidence, try escalating, workout, get a better style, try new activities expand your social circle... the list is endless. Start that self improvement journey today. Are you an interesting person? Would your friends say you're an interesting person?

Regardless, you don't want the type of woman who wants a "nice guy." Nice guys are doormats. Nice guys to stand up for themselves or push back. Nice guys get walked all over and you don't want a woman who wants that.

It's not that women don't like good guys, it's that women don't like guys that are only good guys. Being nice is literally the lowest common denominator. Anybody can hold open doors and send sappy text messages, but it's hard to be muscular and confident and assertive and powerful.

The problem is that these kinds of men take care of themselves first, so women interpret that as "mean" and say they want a nice guy. In reality they want a nice guy they're attracted to, not just a nice guy.

There are women that grow affectionate for men that are kind and pleasant to them. The drawback: They're insanely shy. So you still have to make the move, make your intentions known.

In general though, most women have had no shortage of guys being nice to them. To break the mold, you must be different than those guys. Set yourself apart. The easiest way, is to have a girlfriend. A woman will never desire you more than right after you shoo her away because you're on the phone with your girlfriend. So you don't have a girlfriend? That's ok. Embrace this mentality. Be busy. Be busy, most importantly, doing things you are passionate about, and have worth to you.

These guys that are pulling your "new besties" from you, are not "stupid," they are succeeding where you are failing. If you are truly as smart as you think you are, then observe, emulate, and succeed as well.

Here's the advantage they have over you: Their self-worth is not wrapped up in archaic self-expectation. The days of the duel are over, in most cases, you won't get shot for hugging a woman you just met, so do so, every time. Make sure you look as good as you can, and smell even better.
