It's because men and women have different experiences of being the pursuers or the pursued.

The typical woman usually goes through an experience of several to many men liking her. It's understandable through their unsuccessful experiences with men to think that the "right man" is somewhere out there. They then transfer this ideology to think that every man has the "right woman" out there waiting for him, too.

On the other hand, unsuccessful men know how difficult attracting women can be, so they know how much work it takes to do it if one is not naturally gifted at it.

Higher value men don't usually care about either of these views. They know that they can settle down at will as soon as they get bored with "having fun", so they don't even think about "finding the right person organically" or "how to improve to get the right person".

Some less attractive women actually sometimes take the male view on things. I've known a few women who knew that they had to improve (mostly their bodies) because they couldn't attract the men whom they wanted to attract long-term.

I will just say it: women can have it so easily at dating if they would stop picking toxic men. But instead they prefer the hot bad boy because they are thrilling, exciting and interesting. They would rather have a damaged bad boy that makes them suffer rather than a boring average looking nice guy. Also, women fuck who they want, men fuck who they can. Women have an abundance of choices if they do wish a serious realtionship with a good man, they can have that, any time of the day. But they won't have six pack, they won't be this tall, they won't have this much money and so on.

Because women don't have to do anything, they can just focus on themselves and eventually a man they like will aproach.

Plenty of women hold the first view. We're raised to do so.

From a young age, most are encouraged by their mothers to look as good as possible. This is done with the underlying message that it's necessary to get a man. The comments about weight start young and many form disordered eating habits. In the UK 36% of 7-10 year old girls feel that looks are their most important attribute. 46% of 13-19 year old girls report worrying about their body often or always.

What men call "looksmaxxing" a lot of women call "living life" especially in high school and college. A decent chunk of women are in a perpetual state of dieting. This is all getting worse with TikTok and Instagram, and more women are thinking about plastic surgery and botox.

And of course there are other ways that women try to compete for a perceived limited pool of quality men.

Because women put no real effort nor resources into dating so at its core a man has to approach dating as a resource and time sink where women approach it as a fun activity.

They have different views on dating because men and women are fundamentally different and experience dating very differently

Specifically women have it much easier when it comes to dating, sex and relationships. They barely have to put in any effort unlike the average man.

This difference is due to evolutionary biology and sexual selection. Sperm is cheap and eggs are expensive. Women are the selectors.

At least when it comes to dating, women are the privileged sex. That’s why they tend to have very different views.

For example a rich person with plenty of money will have very different views on food than a starving third world poverty stricken individual.

Because women don't want a normal man. They're hypergamous and want the man that's better than all the others. 90% of women chase after the top 10% of men. We're forced into competing with other men to be part of that 10% just so we can get a woman.

Anecdotal, but it’s really not that hard to have women approach you occasionally. It’s never been more than maybe twice in a month for me, but it’s still doable for most men.

There are lots of women of View 1, when you hang around women who really don’t like being single which is still the majority.

Men don’t get to view 2, we aren’t really wired that way. It’s a matter of how much it takes for us to be inspired into being proactive. Very very few of us expect results in dating with no social effort.

Men can't cruise control, because women only approach men way out of their league (if they ever get approached at all). If I say I'm a 7, no woman better than a 6 would ever approach me. And the majority of women approaching would be 4s and 5s.

Women are extremely passive. They are like rocks. However, the older and more desperate they get, the more proactive they get. Men have to be proactive, but that's just part of nature. It is in the interest of our species for women to be risk averse because they can bear children and having a bunch of dead women doesn't benefit the species. On the other hand, having a bunch of passive men doesn't benefit the species either. We have jobs and we need to do them.

My question: Why do you think males and women have such different views of dating?

Cause what are we discussing here , were discussed years ago by women , what do you think women did with social media and romantic movies before tiktok?

For women , it goes like this : a 17 years old average girl fall for the attractive mean guy in her school , she think she will have a ROMANTIC relationship with her Prince charming while for him , she is a girl that gonna satisfy his sexual needs that he doesn't know how to deal with and then if she is a good girl, he will date her. He court her due to the social experience he gains, they end up having sex , ( now it's the part that most women get wrong ) instead of her now courting him for a relationship, she prefer to keep the passive role and his brain goes like :" why did I put all this effort for an average girl, now that I have a taste of her , i don't need her " .

So when a lot of women from different age shared the same experience , they first blamed culture and due to feminism, they started banning " toxic men " who have influence in media . So basically they banned " the bad guy troop " . Then stared advocating for " better treatment " which gained a lot of support especially from less attractive men since it meant it's about personality and how women are treated now . But now when men find out that women aren't as morally good as they portrayed themselves , they found themselves in a situation to either accept the toxicity of modern women or stay single .
