I've observed that there's GENERALLY 2 views of the dating world.

View 1. Competition

There's a limited pool of possible matches. To pull the best you can from that pool, you'll need to compete with others who also qualify. You do this by learning what the opposite sex desires and following through with the requisite self improvement.

View 2. Cruise Control

The right person will come along. You just need to be in the right mind space. If there's good energy, things will happen organically. Focus on knowing your worth, then there's no one else you need to compete with. Everyone is deserving of love.
