While it might feel good in the short term, you have to step back and look at the long term play here. Worst case she loses her job, and that could affect your spousal support. Let's say you go to mediation, do you want her going in calm and happy about the AP, ready to end things quickly to get that new dick; or pissed off that you ruined her 'shot' with the new guy. Is she someone that would not wanted it leaked that she was having an affair, hints at that going public could help you too.

Remember the goal is to get divorced as quickly as possible, with as little pain as possible. It sucks, but just hold your tongue and build your case.

Just look at it as a "blessing in disguise" and you learned the true nature of your wife before wasting more of your life on her. I would start the divorce process and try for an uncontested divorce if possible. You're in a better position than most men because your wife has a high paying career. Best of luck!

Definitely wait until after the divorce is finalized to risk making her poorer - if you succeed in nuking her job now (probably unlikely, women are rarely held accountable for anything) then, depending on your jurisdiction, you'll only "succeed" in paying more alimony to her

Revenge's target is in the past, as such it's mostly useless for your future.

Let's imagine the best case scenario; you send an email, nobody suspects you, the doctor in question got fired, fined and put in jail; your (ex-)wife suffers whatever consequences you'd like to befall her. What do you get from it? If the answer is "satisfaction", it's basically nothing in a long run.

I work in a hospital and I’ll let you know there’s an ethics hotline somewhere which I’m sure a quick google search should find it. However as stated before: nothing will happen. Drs bang reps, nurses, colleagues, etc. I found a 50 something year old dr having sex with a nursing student. They all swap and it’s whatever. Just take solace that she’s going to be miserable after she realizes she’s just used for a wet hole in a string of other women made for the streets. She’ll come back wanting to start fresh but don’t do it. Stay steadfast. Don’t get a wrapped up on her crying. Use the affair fog to your advantage and get everything you want quickly in the divorce then ride off into the sunset. Best of luck to you.

It won’t go anywhere. Doctors only get fired for EXTREME circumstances. Him banging a sales rep is par for the course. He’s probably banged half the nurses, too.

A local doctor recently got fired after being caught banging a nurse in a utility closet in the hospital. But it was the second time he’s been caught having sex on hospital grounds, despite being married, and he was only fired this time because family members of a patient are the ones that caught them. No way to sweep it under the rug.

He turned down $1,000,000 stipulated in his contract to not practice within 100 miles of the hospital and went ahead and took a job the very next week in the next town over.

Essentially, his punishment was to get a better job at a bigger hospital making more money and a new host of nurses he hasn’t ran through yet.

If there’s any consolation to be had, it’s that AP is probably already cheating on your wife, or will in due time. That and he gets the comforting knowledge that his new gf is the type of woman who is willing to cheat and blow up her marriage. He’ll certainly feel super secure while he’s working 90 hour weeks wondering where she’s at and what she’s doing.

They’ll last, for sure.

Edit: if your wife is in the affair fog and is super motivated to exit your marriage, you should use that to your advantage. It’s not uncommon that cheaters will give you the bag just to get out of the divorce as quickly as possible.

I mean yeah, it would feel great to do this . I get it! But in the long run might be many underlying factors involved starting with : how long do you plan on being in the area ? What is the realistic likelihood anything will be done ? Is he already a well liked and established Dr combined with how large or small of a community are you in? More importantly, other than a temporary good feeling revenge …..what is the long term benefit to you in doing so? Will it have a positive real time benefit for you say, two years from now ? Do you have children together? Many factors ….don’t act on emotion.

ETA: this might read like I’m suggesting you take the cuck or short end. Absolutely not. I’m suggesting you act without emotion in rational forward moving planning. What’s done is done and she’ll learn at her own hand the negative effects of her very hard life lesson on her own. They always do.

You’re just opening yourself up for trouble down the road. For one thing, I’ll bet that at least half of those doctors in his practice are fucking pharmaceutical reps on the side (one of the perks of being a doctor is that hot ass is paraded through your office all day and they need something from you) and they’ll throw that letter in the trash. Or, they’ll stick up for their buddy/partner and send lawyers after you. You don’t want that.

Lawyer up and listen to said lawyer. I’m betting he’ll give you similar advice. You don’t want to rock the boat too much during the divorce process. Judges don’t like shit like that.

After the divorce is final, well, maybe then you can put a billboard up outside their office if it makes you feel better. But, I’d ask your lawyer first.

Not worth it. My ex is a professor at a North Texas christian University and she clearly had an affair and her school couldn’t have cared less. The employers don’t care. Don’t waste your time. Bide your time and find something else to bring her down with.

I’m sorry this is happening to you and it really sucks. I wouldn’t report him as it serves you no purpose other than to make you feel good. Focus on getting through the divorce as fast as possible with as much custody and assets as possible. If anything, use your knowledge of this situation as a bargaining chip as negotiations near the end. Don’t do it now as she will likely freak out and make the divorce much more difficult.
