I was reflecting about my divorce process, and I’m curious if anyone had a similar experience.

I technically filed for divorce, but it wasn’t really my choice. My marriage was taking such a toll on my health that I couldn’t function at work. During my recovery, my ex actively sabotaged my efforts to get back on track, even preventing me from working.

Keep in mind, I worked from home back then and paid all bills while also splitting responsibilities at home. She worked late nights, but never contributed financially.

She started going out during my working hours, and late at night, leaving me home with the kids and making sure I couldn’t recover. And verbally abusing me constantly in front of our kids. I finally had to move out for my own health and so the kids won’t have to see this, and eventually, I filed for divorce.

Anyone else feel like they were forced into initiating it because staying was no longer an option?
