The only piece of advice I’d offer is that you have to and always can do something to improve yourself no matter how small or where you are at.

Getting a girlfriend or hooking up when you are in dire straits, depressed, unemployed or otherwise unmotivated is like going 0-100 in a snap, it’s not possible and even if you managed it, it won’t fix your other problems.

Slow and steady does it, work on yourself - just do something. Eat better, be more punctual, submit your job applications, go on that walk, try out a new place, go to the gym on that extra day, get to bed early. You can always start somewhere and see the good in yourself, you got this.

I finally found the missing piece yesterday... find a social "gym" aka a place where it's expected to constantly interact with new women on a regular basis. There is no such thing as "the one piece of advice." This topic is huge and have distinct skill gaps depending on where you are. It's like walking up to a millionaire and asking him "what is the one piece of advice that can make me a millionaire." What he is going to say will not be very helpful.

What you should do instead is to go out in field, just wing it and come back to ask really specific questions. This way people can offer concrete help and offer proper advice. People don't know how to help you if you don't know what problem you need help with.

I think a bit of a mindset shift helped me a lot was realizing how vulnerable women feel in dating and life in general.

As a relatively shy guy I wished women would engage with me more and was annoyed they didn't.

I'm average height and not a big guy I never even considered that women might find me threatening or intimidating due to simply being a guy. So now I understand that women will justifiably default to being suspicious and defensive and it is my responsibility to bridge that gap. I shouldn't be offended by rejection it is entirely reasonable , she can't see your intentions.

On a similar note, I never appreciated how much shit most women put up with until I had a few more female friends. . Cat calling , grabbing etc. Because my friend group would never do that I thought this was much rarer than it actually is.

My bodyfat level and muscularity has been at a bunch of different levels over my life, and looking back, most of my frustrations with women were at times where I just wasn't lean enough and had lost the muscle mass I had put on. A little bit of fat can really decrease your attractiveness. Likewise, a little bit of muscle can go a long way (if it isn't covered in fat). Whatever your peak physique is, get there, and STAY THERE. Do not let your physique slip.

With that being said, its still hard attracting women even if you're in fantastic shape. Women seem to prefer to meet men through warm introductions and social circles, and are typically closed off to strangers. When you're young this all happens naturally, you don't have to do anything other than be fit. But as you get older your social circle will shrink greatly, and you'll really have to work at it to meet women.

And the last thing: as a man it doesn't matter who you like. What matters is who likes you.

Tbh the advice about “just be yourself” is mostly misunderstood. It’s really about living in your own reality and asserting that reality outwards without any exceptions. If you’re operating in a reality that’s not yours (in dating her reality) then you’ve already lost the frame battle and you have very little leverage. This goes for pretty much anything else in life, especially business. Women can sense how in your reality you are much faster than you can. People pleasing is pretty obvious to pick up and is an instant turn off. Vibes are off if you are pretending to live in a reality other than yours. Tbh this is the simplest mental model for seduction. If you don’t know what reality you’re living in, your nervous system will just latch onto the stringest external reality.
