Bit of a backstory here. A while back I went out on a date with a woman who I found attractive meanwhile my friends, family, etc did not find this women attractive at all, as a matter of a fact the opposite.

I took this women out to a restaurant, and we got food. I thought she was very beautiful but yet people thought otherwise. During our date large number of random women kept approaching her throughout our date, complimenting her dress, style, and other things about her. They would look at her, then look at me and give me this very puzzling face. Almost as if they questioned why I would take this woman out on a date.

She was so sweet and she treated me insanely well, it was honestly one of the best dates I have ever had, however, she was NOT conventionally attractive by any means.

Prior to her, I was in a relationship for 3 years, yet my ex and I, the number of times we went out, THIS had never happened to me, despite her looking her best on our dates.

But with my date, I kept getting strange looks from other women. As for myself, Im tall, in shape, and many consider me “very attractive” just the other day, a random guy complimented me and said that I have a lot of physical features similar to Henry cavil. I always get eyed up in public.

Anyways, I know some women like to compete against each other and bring other women down so they can be viewed as the “best looking” out of their group, is this one of those things??? Or am I overthinking things.

Additionally, I don’t like to view myself as very attractive. I’m going based off how others view me. And I get viewed a lot as “very attractive” based off other people’s standards. And more often than not I have friends that try to reject my choices and preferences in potential romantic partners with them saying things like “dude you can do a lot better than her bro, she’s not that hot”
