Her attorney gave me a list of my stuff with absurd values attached to it. I responded back that if that was their valuation, she could have it all and pay me that amount. Once I showed her I was willing to walk away from it all, she lost that leverage.

I sold or walked away from some things that were very dear to me. But in comparison to the loss of my marriage and family? It’s just stuff and it can be replaced.

Put a list of everything in a spreadsheet

Share the spreadsheet to her and see what she wants

She will want everything...good..give it to her ..lol

Dont waste your time going back and forth with who wants what..

#1 All that shit can we repurchased

#2 Most of what you bought was for her or for your house (see point #1)

#3 You will burn legal fees and time arguing about a $10 toaster

#4 Shows her you are done and won't keep feeding her the attention she wants.

#5 Get it over and done faster - so you can continue life on your terms not hers or the courts.

They come in and do absolutely everything, including the entire removal process. You, literally, just need to give up a % of the money.

If she’s being… difficult, she can certainly try and get some of that stuff from you.

But if you’re both willing to compromise, you should keep all your manly stuff. And she keep all her lady stuff.

My ex and I had an understand of what stuff we each predominately used more and split it that way. And then negotiated on the stuff that we both use.

Ideally you don't. You add up the value for all those items and then make sure there's a 50/50 split in value to each party. Ideally you are not so petty as to have too. I took my PC, gaming stations, etc and she keep her stuff. With that said, the eX keep one of my headsets that was worth about $1k and never returned it (part of the price of freedom).

I didn't fight for the Jewelry or art, I said she could keep it all. HOWEVER, she didn't like that meant I got a credit :) So she gave me 50% of both (the stuff she didn't like as much).

It sucks, but it’s all worth money and if you can’t agree on things with her it’s cheaper to re buy it then pay a lawyer to fight over it. It’s hard but the less attached you are to things the better in the long run n

We didn’t have a lot but I wrote everything down and it’s value, by her getting to keep all her jewelry, the furniture, and appliances it was more than all my tools and grill etc.

I got all the stuff out I was scared about, tools, records, some clothes. She filed an op after I grabbed some of my items. Everything else I assume is gone.

She tried to take all my music gear, shop equipment, guns, cars (like fun cars not commuter cars), and everything else in between. Judge saw right through it and awarded me what was obviously REALLY mine not what the law thinks is mine idk how to phrase it. They were stating outlandish prices for them. 27k for a square body Chevy roller lol. I got quotes for all my stuff that I cared about and it made them look restarted lol

We divided the kitchen stuff and I divided up the tools because I’m the one that used them and knew what went with what. I offered a bunch of the furniture which she accepted.

I told her straight up that if she attempted to come after my musical equipment, all of which was purchased before we met, I would do everything in my power to make her life a living hell, evict her, and come after her for maintenance and child support. Her reaction clearly showed that she was thinking about it, and I made it clear that that crosses the line over to vindictive and she didn’t want to mess with a person that worked with the media and has all the evidence of how shitty of an individual she truly is. From that point forward, it was pretty amicable and she was out within 20 days. Life has been pretty much amazing ever since.

She took her stuff, I took my stuff. We divided kitchen stuff and whatnot. I did give her the lawn mower and just bought myself a new one. She didn't want my guitars or collectibles and I didn't want her books or collectibles.

If you can maintain amicability or the appearance of amicability, maybe you can get her to not care about them. I lucked out that my ex had some contempt for my tools and hobby, so she didn't want anything to do with them. I was able to negotiate storing them at the house since she wanted to stay in the house. But she yeeted all my shit into god knows which corner. I guess I'll find them when the house is put up for sale.

It's valued and then the value is split monetarily upon the order of asset division. She won't get the physical item but you'll basically pay her half of the value to keep it.
