It certainly wasn’t funny (like it just flat out is just funny) and yes, female teachers assaulting male students does not get the negative response it deserves - but mind you, the cultural norm is “lucky kid” or “I wish she was my teacher”, and while that is becoming less popular, it is still prevalent.

That being said, I’m curious where these thousands of comments are? It just feels like you’re making a claim of a recent skit without much bearing. Like thousands you say praise it. Who are these thousands? And since this is SNL, is it thousands out of tens of thousands?

OP is missing the real point. Yes, it is important to point out inconsistencies in modern gender rhetoric. But the real point is that it this idea of perfect gender symmetry that is insane. Situations like this point out what everyone knows: A male teacher sleeping with a female student is worse than the reverse. Doesn't mean either are OK; but they are not the same thing, either.

Women don’t like men their age making less. So to justify their lover making less thus they choose kids.

Why? Can’t judge them for making less. Plus younger which inflates their ego.

Me too era caused men to retreat, not openly desire women.

Yep. There is still prevalent the cultural messaging that men are sex obsessed, that they can't be raped because they always want sex. You can even see it how news portray it. Girl was raped - it is called rape, a boy was raped - it is called "had sex". And even look at the comments, a lot of them are guys saying how jealous they are of the boy and whish to be in his place. Men are their own obstackle is the acknowledgment that they can be raped and sexually assaulted by women.

Who gives a fuck? Women raping men is not the same thing as men raping women. I'm sick of pretending that these experiences are equivalents. Being forcibly penetrated is so much more violating, it's not even remotely comparable.

Why would a teenage boy be traumatized by an older woman fondling him? It's not like he's powerless or in danger. He's stronger than her. Even if the sketch ended with her taking him into a closet I wouldn't give a fuck. What do I care?

Even if it were true, the fact that THIS is the type of right (the right to be a pervy male teacher for laughs) you are concerned with when women are talking about bodily autonomy should tell you something about your thought process.

Idk maybe I’m a contributor to the double standard, but it’s not really the same though? Like yes it’s assault but let’s actually analyze why people would have such a visceral reaction if the genders were flipped. Young girls are seen as needed to be protected from older men who want sex but teen boys want sex from anyone so both their peers and adults don’t really view it as something as bad. That sentiment should probably change because it isn’t fair to actual male victims but the stereotypes are somewhat rooted in truth.

This is honestly the most idiotic point mens rights types make, you're unknowingly backing up feminism by claiming that this kind of behaviour is as equally bad between men and women, when everybody with a shred of common sense knows it isn't.

The point is to roll back and get feminism to be understood as the philosophy for psychopathic women that it is, not to have two camps of extremists existing in society. We want a society where the mentally ill have the least possible say and power to destroy the lives of the healthy as possible unlike what we have now.

Men and women aren't the same.

Being sexually harassed by a hot teacher isn't going to have the same psychological impact on a boy as on a girl.

It's still wildly inappropriate for a female teacher to do this, but it's not so scary regular people aren't comfortable joking about it.

As a man, I don't have a fear of SA from a women.

If a woman gropes me, it would be awkward, but I am confident that I can push her off me unless she was Ronda Rousey.

I see such a skit as someone dealing with an awkward situation than SA. If the genders were reversed, I would see it as SA.
