Women literally do not believe the ways in which men do see them as powerful.

This is a total failure of accountability. Men believing that a woman is controlling him because he looked at her and thought she looked hot… is just in his head. A woman merely existing is not exerting power over a man— he is simply horny and wants to blame her for his feelings. It’s a lack of accountability, not any real power.

We can see that sexuality is not powerful in the fact that women in all times in all of history have had the exact same “power”… and yet in many times and places, had exactly zero power in the society.

Like, look at Afghanistan, for instance. If female sexuality is so incredibly powerful as you claim, why don’t women in Afghanistan have any power? Are the women there incapable of having sex to exert this supposed power over men? Why do you think they are powerful when they demonstrably are not?

Femininity being seen as powerful by men is not welcome.

Yes, I agree that a lot of men do not like it one bit when women hold actual real power. Some dudes (like perhaps OP) want us to throw away any real social, political, ans economic power and pretend that being lusted after briefly is power… when it obviously isn’t.

Being sexually objectified isn’t power. Men literally do not see the women they find sexy as people, they see them as entirely interchangeable with any other sexy feminine woman. The best you can hope for is a man might part with his cash because he’s so overwhelmed with lust, but he’ll likely block you later when he gets post-nut clarity.

Soft Power and Power Power are different.

Power Power is taken without the consent of the person controlled.

Soft Power requires the consent of the person controlled.

The power you are attributing to women is the "siren call" so to speak and while I totally believe based on the arts and humanities alone this is a very real pull and draw over men....it requires men's consent on a certain level. Whereas the opposite is not true.

And, if we follow what we understand of these myths....well, it doesn't display men respect sirens, nymphs, etc. They wish to possess them and they feel powerless before them, but they don't respect these women. And I think the language you see men apply to femme fatales and sluts shows this as well.

So, I think it's accurate to say they see women as inferior to them while also often feeling extremely overpowered by their internal desire for them. But that's not the same as seeing women themselves as powerful.

It's kind of like how in kink I see people point out that men's fantasies of a woman dominating him are all about his pleasure or him being used as a sexual object more so than women's pleasure. It's still ultimately all about him...and that's not a woman being powerful.

I dare to say if I was being a dominatrix, it would just be me walking past men and making a face and going "no, gross, ew". It wouldn't be some protracted caging or tying up and verbally abusing.

Femininity is seen as inferior because in every way that functions toward success in society, masculine traits are rewarded.

Men do not see women as powerful. They see women as tempting, duplicitous seductresses. Power is inherently coded as masculine; not belonging to women.

You’re bouncing between physical power, social influence, sexual desirability, emotional leverage, fetish dynamics, cultural respect, and fear/intimidation as if they all mean the same thing.

They don’t.

Men being attracted to femininity or intimidated by women in dating doesn’t mean femininity is socially valued the same way masculinity is. Sexual desirability is not the same thing as social, physical, or institutional power.

And using kink dynamics as proof of broader society doesn’t really work either. A fetish existing doesn’t mean women are generally seen as dominant or powerful in everyday life.

I think you might be intimidated by women and their emotional confidence. Women usually have ‘the power’ (skill, practice) to express vulnerability and maybe you feel out of depth when required to match that energy. The point of vulnerability is giving up power and potentially embarrassing yourself in the moment. I’m reading between the lines of your post but these things take practice. The fun thing about female "power" is that it's only as "powerful" as a man saying "no".

The average man can beat pretty much every woman alive to death with his bare hands. Women have no equivalent to this.

This can exist in conjunction with the notion that there are benefits to society that skew female. You're just conflating power with worth.

I don’t see a lot of feminist women resisting the idea of having power over men. I’ve seen all kinds of material about women wanting to get rid of the patriarchy and replacing it with a matriarchy.
