You’re always going on about this scenario. Like literally it’s your one note. I’m going to tell you that I personally would want to know if you cheated on me. It’s a deal breaker for me and I’d dump you.

I’ll tell you something else too. I’ve been through this. It sucks. I don’t want a man who is so controlled by his dick that he shrugs off the corrosive effects of his appetite for novelty and his conversance with dishonesty.

Why is it that you think your actions don’t leave a mark on you?

Confessing cheating is usually a selfish act, wrapped in a contrite shell.

Its their guilt they want to get over, and it hurts their partner.

I'd want to know but just for my own selfish reasons and divorcing her. I wouldn't worry about league, I'm in trophy wife territory if I wanted that.

I'd sooner be alone than with a cheater, no matter how attractive. Who wants to live in fear of their partner pulling out? Can't make any plans for the future that way. At least if you're single, you're building on a solid foundation.

Your empasis about looks in connection to cheating is not accurate. Both the attractive and average cheat. Marrying someone lower in looks will not guaranty fidelity.

I would not want to know. Providing 1) it was one time, and 2) he didn’t fuck up and cheat with someone I know or someone who is likely to try and insert herself into our lives, I do not want to know.

Absolutely my stage in life and the fact that I have a child to raise influences this answer. Ask me again in 6 years when he leaves home for college and my answer might be different.

If you cheat and tell me and we have two kids under five to raise I’m going to hate you. Because now you’ve ruined their childhood. Because I’m either going to divorce you or viscerally hate your guts for the rest of their childhood if we stay together.

Hopefully no one thinks to embarrass or disrespect me or put me in that position.

I was cheated on in my last relationship, and he told me (in waaay too much detail). I cried to my dad, who's very "RP" and very honest, and he told me that a man will only ever out himself if he wants to alleviate his own guilt or wants an easy out of the relationship.

In that case I'm glad I found out, because I was able to end things and find something better. If my husband ever strayed I'd want him to take it to his grave.

If you're getting cheated on then you could be inadequate in some way. They're getting their needs fulfilled elsewhere, you might be being used for something that isn't sex. Therefore it's unlikely to be a one off. You are getting played, with a good chance of getting dumped when your more attractive partner finds someone who can match your usefulness but is more attractive.

There is no such thing. SMV is locational, personal and subjective - if nothing else, then novelty will ensure that a new girl will have an advantage compare to the old and tired partner (which cheated on you). In any case, I'd want to know. Knowledge created opportunity for action. Then you can decide not to act on the knowledge if you want to be a cuck.

Id want to know. That way i would win the hollow intellectual debate between wife and myself that sex matters (she claims it doesnt and will only allow me a grudging monthly sex stipend). Not that it would improve anything or hold any deep meaning, but part of me just wants the petty thrill of being proved right.

It might also give me the kick in the ass I need to divorce her, kids be damned.

Even if my wife was the “best i could get” id still want to know, since ive come to the conclusion that marriage is stupid and fundametally at odds with my dignity/freedom anyway. Ie, the best you can get is still shit.
