Do women tend to prefer younger men after a certain age? Are Twilight moms (for example) just exceptions or more common but maybe some just don't say it out of fear of judgement?

Some women haven't moved on from seeing themselves as early-twenties-late-teens. Some women, despite occupying the 'older' social role, find the idea of an inexperienced or younger partner who would be uniquely impressed by their 'experience'/'openness' in contrast with younger women to be an appealing one. Some women just like the idea of a famous/rich/powerful man regardless of his age.

I think the problem is that men of a certain age tend to not take care of themselves that much compared to younger men which might be why older women fantasize about younger men more

As with most threads about age gaps I'll say what I always say - most people stick to people their own age give or take a few years. That's clear. There will be some people who don't.

I preferred older men in my early teens, and still prefer older men in my early 30s. That is the rule of course, I'm sure you'll find exceptions.

There is indeed a lot of old female creepers preying on younger, naive, child-like men - celebrities as well as their neighbors' sons and nephews. Unfortunately, no-one thinks it's a problem, and thus, no-one bothered to collect any sort of solid numbers.

Once a woman has the children she desires and can not longer have children she will be more open to younger men. Women at that point don't want to remarry or at least are in no hurry since they are past their reproductive phase and now can just have fun. Honestly if I ever divorce I wouldn't bother with older men unless he was very good looking or if I wanted to remarry. If you just want flings you might as well do it with a man who is more physically attractive.

there are some older women who somewhat fetishize young studs as sexual boytoys. but usually it never goes anywhere, they mostly just creepily flirt with younger guys and basically catcall them with their fellow older lady friends.

There's a biological reason for this. Men's sperm after 40 is not as viable. In fact the infertility data may be skewed by this because researchers didn't take into account that older women had partners the same age or older. From the studies I've read, it's just a smarter biological choice to get a younger partner for the purpose of bearing children if the woman is older.

Dated my ex - He was 5 months older than me but looked 10 years older. My second ex was 40 and I was 24?? Current Fiance is 39 and I am 29.
