bisexuality is one of those things which I think it is a hypothetical turn off for a lot of women in an abstract sense, something they might swipe no for, but if one actually presented themselves in real life, and they found out after they knew each other for a while, they wouldn't care

Not for me, but I am bisexual myself. My current SO is also bi, and I've hooked up with bi guys in the past. It's a non-issue for me.

With that said, I know it is an issue for many women, for a variety of reasons. Not sure how many of those reasons I'd say are rational, but it is what it is.

If he is the bottom, yes. Dominance turns me on and submissiveness turns me off - I associate the top with the first and the bottom with the latter. If he can dominate another man that's actually pretty hot but the stereotype for gay or bi men is that they are effeminate and like it up the butt so that's where this aversion comes from. A guy who likes to be dominated by women would be just as much of a turnoff for me.

I'm not sure about most women, but it isn't for me. I've dated a few bi dudes, including my first ever boyfriend. I wouldn't consider it a turn on or turn off, it just is what it is.

I don't think there's anything wrong with not wanting to date a queer person if you're straight. Not wanting to date a bi person doesn't make a person biphobic or homophobic.

I wouldn't say it's a turn off necessarily, but I probably wouldn't date a bi guy. Not because "ew gross," but because of my own insecurity.

There is a key part of his sexuality that I'm not able to fulfill for him. I'd be constantly wondering if he feels dissatisfied or like something's missing, or if he's hooking up with guys behind my back.

If I liked him enough and felt sure that he was in love with me I might be able to get past it. But knowing myself I just don't think it's something I'd ever be able to relax about. I sometimes get nervous because all my fiance's exes have dark hair and I'm blonde.

The only negative that comes to mind about dating a bi person is the insecurity that maybe you, being one gender, won't be able to satisfy them sexually long term - or maybe that they are hyper sexual and less likely to 'settle down' in a monogamous relationship. But that's all supposition as I don't know any bi men or put much thought into dating one....

In terms of pure casual encounters, I don't see it necessarily as a turn-off, in some ways it's kinda hot (and I theoretically like the idea of being attracted to someone without their genitalia being the main focus) but it is unusual and complex enough to make me think about it and say it really depends on the person.

I fucked a MtF tranny and enjoyed it. If that counts, then I guess you could say I'm bi (I don't like actual guys though). One big plus they have over actual women is they actually seem to enjoy sex, and obviously are way more permissive and open to experimentation, so there is that.

Bisexuality isn't an immediate dealbreaker for me. However, I think it would probably make me feel less secure with the relationship in the long run. I'd worry more about cheating, mainly because finding men who are down to have casual sex is far too easy, especially in the gay community.

Yeah, that's unfortunately common. I wouldn't extend that statement to all women, and many women I've met in the poly and kink community are perfectly fine with male bisexuality, or even find it a turn on.

Unfortunately there's a lot of work to be done when it comes to the normalization of non-heterosexuality in men.

Fuck no. I'd see it as a plus- He knows what dating men is like, and can adjust his approach accordingly. Ime, bi men are also more likely to be comfortable expressing femininity in certain ways that straight men usually won't, which I enjoy.

Everything's a turn-off for women. They have so many options that it's more practical for them to look for disqualifiers than qualifiers. If man-sex is his only one, he'll be just fine. The problem is that most bisexual men have a few more disqualifiers than that. Especially since most male bisexuality stems from lack of options.

Most "bisexual" men are GAY. By that I mean they have a sexual preference for other men over women. They're just willing to have sex with women. They did a study of self-proclaimed bisexual men and all except one showed a sexual preference for other men over women when they were tested.

As far as women being turned off by "male bisexuality" (which usually means homosexuality), it depends how you look at it. Most women would probably SAY they don't want to date a gay or "bisexual" (gay) man. But in practice, women date, marry and have children with gay men all the time. That's how you get your Ted Haggards, Jim McGreeveys, Eddie Longs, Jerry Sanduskys, and all the other ones whose names I can't remember.
