If he can't lift me up, I'll give him a tiny piglet. He will have to carry that piglet up the mountain every day, and let it drink from a stream while singing to it. Each day the water will make it bigger, and he will grow stronger. On the last day, after he carries the pig one last time, he must carry me up the mountain to do the same, as he will then be strong enough to carry me. However, if he does not carry me up the mountain, he and his family will be cursed for always and for eternity.

I am 90lbs so I would not be attracted to a man who couldn't lift me...unless he was sick or injured.

How would this even be an issue? I'm not a strong guy, I'm quite lean. A /fit/izen would call me scrawny and I can only bench like 135 (5x5). Yet I've been with two girls on the thick side (not fat, but not definitely not thin) and it's not been an issue

A guy would have to be especially weak or you have a landwhale on your hands

I hate being lifted. I have been dropped and he's tripped and it's awful. I find it terrifying and it makes me really uncomfortable to be carried.

If he couldn't lift me I couldn't possibly care less.

Edit: Someone responded and the comment was deleted but this was my reply:

Multiple incidents with multiple men. At the lightest I was dropped at 110 lbs and it's various things from tripping to just general carelessness that I've been dumped on my head. I never really understood the appeal but since being dropped on about 5 different occasions or having my head smacked into a door frame I'm just not a fan. I just don't trust people to actually think about what they're doing anymore. At best I feel like a child who needs assistance and at worst I feel disrespected especially if I'm not put down when I want to be put down.

I personally wouldn't really care whether or not a guy I was attracted to or dating could pick me up. I actually find it to be annoying and I'd prefer to walk or stand on my own two feet. I feel like a lot of women are upset when their man cannot pick them up because they may feel like they are too heavy.

If a guy, either one you were dating, or one you were attracted to, couldn't lift you up, as in he didn't have the physical strength to do it, how would you feel? Would you feel less attracted to him? What would you think of him?

I am currently dating a man who cannot lift me due to a permanent shoulder injury. I think the last time he was able to pick me up to put me on the bed in a playful manner was about 4 years ago, prior to getting hurt. I'm still very much attracted to him, although it had lead to some changes in our sex positions with me almost always taking the top so as to not stress his arm and shoulder.

He's the same man I loved 10 years ago, and being unable to lift me doesn't alter my feelings whatsoever. Then again, I hate being picked up, carried because it makes me feel weak and vulnerable so it's not as though I miss it.

I fucking hate getting picked up and not feeling in control. It's unnerving. Having said that, I like to know my partner is strong enough to pick me up if he had to. What if I fall out of a boat and have trouble getting back in?

it would be fine. my husband can lift me with ease, but it's not like he's just lugging me around everywhere. even with the ability to lift me, it just happens now and then. people are heavy; i'm not going to be weird about it if a guy can't lift me.

the extra fun part is that i can also lift him, though. not without significant effort since i'm not super strong and he's just a bigger person than me, but...

Eh, I don't care. IIRC, my boyfriend can lift me, but it's work and so he rarely does it. As a result, I don't think about it often.

I'd feel fine, it would change nothing. I am not a small person and I don't like being picked up anyway. It scares me when it does happen lol.

I've never been carried in someone's arms and I don't expect to be.

I am 5'9" and 175 lbs. It is not unreasonable to think at my size I would cause back problems. I am not a tiny delicate flower.

honestly I think most of the women here are down playing this. every girl I've met fucking loves being picked up so she can wrap her legs around me and I wisk her to the bedroom. every girls gets that serious lovey dovey look and forgets she can even talk. I'm a tall fella at 6"5. cmon ladies...tell the truth.

Either I got really fat or he is rather weak. I'm 5'2 and weigh 100lbs, I have yet to meet an adult male who couldn't lift me, even most women can, including some shorter than me. Unless he's very obviously short/weak, I'd be very surprised and probably a little concerned

It should make men uncomfortable that their wife can't carry their unconscious body to safety.

Maybe everyone needs to learn the fireman lift, where you sling their belly on your shoulder, distributing the weight better.

Then everyone will be accounted for in burning buildings.

I don't like dudes carrying me around, tbh -- don't go gaga for it at all. I think bigger/taller women go in for this a lot because it helps them to feel ''light'' and ''petite''. I don't have any trouble with that, so it just annoys me.

I'm ~125lbs/172cm and I'm attracted to men in the 6'2"-6'3" range usually I'd say they're around 190-200lbs or so... so, that situation never really happened.

I'm 5'6 and 140lbs and I have always been terrified of a guy trying to lift me for fear of my weight. I really can not relate to wanting to be lifted up.

In this situation, I do think that I'd be less attracted to him but it would be subliminal. Even more than that though, I would feel incredibly self-conscious and would immediately resolve to start calorie counting. The whole thing makes me cringe.
