Non-RPers - are there any issues you have seen the other side of, softened on, or become more sympathetic to, since reading subs like this?

It's hard for me to sympathize with men who tell me that they know me better than myself, or whose tone shifts as soon as they know that I'm a woman. But I will say that I do feel more aware of how unfairly women are catered to, even though it gets wildly blown out of proportion sometimes.

I can easily understand why some men conclude through their own individual experiences to be MGTOW and just lead their lives and do their man bachelor stuff. Some of them seem to have a survivalist/prepper bent. There is a man down the road from me who I think is like that, has his horses and dogs, he is always building stuff does his own repairs. I see him at TS sometimes, he is pleasant says hello asks how my dog is, he likes dogs. So I get the concept of MGTOW what I do not understand is why they keep announcing it. I think they have the same attitude toward women as TRPs which is that we are useless, emotional, unthinking squirrels who get tons of free shit, don't do any work, don't know what we want, conformist ant army beings. I also am not upset or distressed by men who don't want to get married or have LTRs and just want to fuck random women. I feel neutral about them.

Being here has really hit home that there is a good population of men who think I ( not me personally of course ) am worse than shit and contribute nothing and just drain society and it is a huge waste of time to try convince/persuade/prove I and women are worth their time or that we aren't stupid "pod" beings who are an inch above sheep and I just accept that is how things are.

I do feel bad for individual men who get treated badly, cheated on, or who are in bad relationships with partners who don't appreciate them or who belittle them or play weird games.

I think I've become a more vocal meninist IRL. I mean, I've always strived for equality among the genders but have never been as vocal about it. I will now mention issues that face men, like equality in family court - and the problem with judges always favoring the mother. It's real, there are perfectly good fathers out there that are getting screwed in family court because the mother is always favored.

I'm a hippy dippy person though, and in life I try not to have negative feelings towards people and events. I don't hate, and TRP for me is humor but it is also a place where I can see just how draining anger and hate is. It really makes me think about how much worse my state of mind could be - and I appreciate that. It must be so frustrating to have so much anger and hate.

The more I discuss here the more I question how we even came so far as humanity.

TRPers have auch an aversion to facts and science and the only thing that matters to them is how it feels to them. Things don't need to be true; they just need to sound logically and make women look like children in order to be considered an fact for them.

Like "in DV cases it's always the man that gets arrested because of the Duluth Model". This sounds logical and appeals to their preconceived notions of the WaW effect, but not a single TRPer in the history of TRPing ever bothered to look at domestic violence stats to see how often women get arrested.

But of course their gut feel is objectively better than every statistic out there.

And that's why we don't see any progress here. TRPers debate based on their gut feels and anecdotes solely and no matter what kind of facts and figures we show them those don't count because it's impossible that their preconceived notions might be wrong.

We will never accept that the majority of women would cheat on their husband with Trump and Hasselhoff and we will also not accept that individual anecdotes of angry internet nerds are better than statistics.

Learning how people who lack any intuitive/emotional empathy see the world, and more important, how they experience it, was a splash of ice cold battery acid.

I had no idea how much I relied on it all, until I tried following their advice. No more comparing life stories with complete strangers - they had to remain strangers, unless one of us consciously initiated something more.

And I had to stick to concrete reality - no more Robin Williams/Chappelle style improv skits, no more playing Satan around fundamentalists - I couldn't act out the part of anyone besides myself...as defined by TRP's perspective on the subject.

In no time flat, my life went from a wild merry-go-round to...the most depressing Ayn Randian dystopia around. I was forced to admit that the reason a lot of blue pill advice doesn't work for the red, is it really does depend on having some core social instincts. If you can't break out of your own skin, you're going to be judged by it.

Since then, I've been obsessed with translating the blue instincts into red analyisis. I doubt most reds really notice, except to claim that these instincts are all a conspiracy theory, but it helps me sleep nights.

No, not really. I'm just not into a way of life where the main purpose is to have sex with as many women as possible, and I don't agree with TRP's approach to long-term relationships either.

Honestly, the main thing I've gotten from reading this sub is that TRP really does think that women are strange aliens and not human at all. It's wild the lengths they'll go to to make the most normal human behavior into something sneaky and sinister -- but if a man does it, it's completely fine and reasonable, and that's not hypocritical at all because "men and women are different."

It's really wild and gross that there is some segment of the population capable of convincing themselves that women are aliens.

From reading this sub? No, it's more me vs you than anything.

But from lurking on TRP for a couple years, yes.

Many, if not most, of the sub's constituents are in pain, disenfranchised, and lost. From this grows anger and depression, and a struggle to figure out what to do to rectify their situation.

I may not agree with them on some matters, but I do not hate them.

I was generally pretty libertarian before I saw TRP, now I'm the same, not Red Pilled by any means but I suppose I'm a little more clued in to how people in general can be manipulative. The same things TRP described as manipulation by women could also apply to my shitty friendships of the past, so I've had to take a step back and realise how shitty people in general can be.

I find TRP interesting as something to watch from afar but otherwise see it as internet masculinity on steroids.

Frankly RP as a concept annoys me less than the emotionally stunted man-children who frequent this sub and TRP who are always looking to fight, trying to argue concepts they don't understand and trolling with sexist and racist outbursts. These days they seem to be overrepresented among the ones defending RP, and that doesn't help the case.

Yes - I'd say that I believe the 'hypergamy' issue a bit more, mostly due to it more heavily affecting men in lower socioeconomic classes.

Definitely. They took social niceties literally throughout their lives, and then they realized that 90% of verbal communication is either hyperbolic or filler bullshit way later than they should have.

My crackpot theory is that most RPillars are intuitive and the real world VERY MUCH has a sensor bias. But you can apply your intuition to get better at understanding social interaction and power dynamics, which TRP kinda sorta does but in a toxic way imo.

But the thing about TRP is it's sort of like using oil for fuel. It get's the job done, but it burns dirty and has a shit ton of external and internal consequences.

Pretty hard to. Too many don't seem to want to admit they need to improve their appearance and/or social skills to be attractive to prettier girls and act like manbabies. Women within their realistic SMV are also invisible to them, naturally.

Although I do feel sympathy for guys raised by single mothers whom didn't have a good male role model to learn from.

From reading PPD? No, not really. If anything I'm tempted to retake the blue when I spend too much time on here. I'm not hostile to all of RP theory, but some attitudes are just surreal. I mean, I guess this sub and the back-and-forths I see here have made me realize there's a huge divide between the world I live in and the world some other people live in.

Being on reddit mostly just makes me feel thankful for the people I know offline.
