Am woman but yes, I've taken the advice of my RPWi friends on a few occasions. I like their perspectives and it's helpful to keep my bitch mode in check. It's not sexual strategy advice but rather, advice for my marriage. A lot of what RPWi advises I reject, but it's helped me appreciate my husband more and that's generally always a good thing!

"no contact dread?" do you mean the old adage that "absence makes the heart grow fonder?" the parts of TRP that are common sense are practiced by bloopers in our daily lives, we just didn't need crude generalizations or an internet group to spell it out for us.

don't be fat. girls like hot guys. don't be a clingy doormat. your sparkling personality alone won't make your doughy ass attractive. attractive people always have options. make sure someone's worth your time before you jump into a relationship... that's schoolyard shit for most of us. The original non-common sense parts of TRP are little more than paranoia, revenge fantasies, and misogyny repackaged with its own jargon. it's just introverted spergs all the way down over there.

In a vacuum not texting isn't abusive. Just like criticizing your partner isn't abusive in a vacuum but once she starts nagging all the time it becomes mental abuse.

Deliberately not texting whenever she steps out of line can result in abusive patterns. That's a deliberate effort to manipulate her. That's not how relationships are supposed to work because you are only breeding more resentment and drama instead of coming together and communicating your issues in a healthy way.

I actually have to stop myself from being like that because I used to be stubborn and full of pride/ego so I had to learn how to get over those feelings and just keep on being positive and good. Sure if you want to be just like a moody teenager you can give her the silent treatment, but once you are dating adults you also need to be able to handle problems like an adult.

When I was a teenager, my very first boyfriend at times would employ dread to keep me interested, I guess. At first, it worked, because I was an insecure teenager. But you see, using that strategy to keep a woman interested means you're neglecting more long-term strategies to keep interest, such as bonding, mutual memories, emotional security, etc.

As such, not even 2 months later and our relationship became empty enough such that there wasn't really anything to dread losing. And the relationship failed shortly after.

The point being, BP men are BP not because they haven't tried RP, or failed at it, it's because they have mastered more effective strategies. They don't use active dread, because they don't need to, and because it's a shortcut that gives short-term gains and large long-term costs (which is true of most RP strategies).

It's like building a mud house instead of a brick house. Sure, they both offer shelter, but if you can build a brick house and want it to last a long time, why would you build a mud house? Mud houses collapse easily.

I've done self-improvement, but that's not uniquely Red Pill.

I've also done abundance mentality too, but I don't consider that too Red Pill either. I wasn't sleeping with a bunch of women all at once, just showing interest in several at once.

Other than that, I've never consciously done anything that is considered Red Pill. I'm sure an outside Red Pill observer might see a few of my relationship behaviors and scream "Hey, that's Red Pill!" but it's not like it's something that I am training and practicing.

Yes I have not texted my significant other / person I am trying to date for a day. Of course I dont think its abusive, I also think its incredibly childish to consider one day apart from your SO to be "no contact dread." In fact if I were seeing someone who got upset or "dreaded" not getting a text from me all day I would see that as a major red flag.

Woman person here. No contact dread has the opposite effect on me. If somebody says they are going to call/text/make plans and they don't especially when I do not know them well, I assume they are not interested or have changed their mind and I move on. Unless it is a long time friend, I am not going to text somebody to ask me why they haven't texted me, that is ridiculous.

im pretty healthy and take care of myself. beyond that i've caught myself "dread gaming" without realizing it which is usually cause for self-reflection and figuring out why im being an asshole

Red Pill is useful for me in the sense that it really deconstructs abusive behavior that most men grow up learning. its a good guide in how NOT to have good mental health and strong relationships.

I've always said that "taking the pussy off the pedestal" was great advice because I used to be unable to speak to cute guys without having a mini stroke and coming off as a total nerd/creep/weirdo even though with people I was comfortable with I was known as pretty funny and clever. I had to convince myself that I just didn't give any fucks about guys or what they thought of me, and learn to treat them like I'd treat anyone I didn't care about, and with enough practice at "taking the penis off the pedestal" I was able to make lots of cute guys think I was pretty cool! If you can look at someone like your little brother or sister you are a lot more comfortable joking around and teasing them, which is basically what a lot of flirting comes down to.

I don't even disagree that many TRP tactics work. I disagree that they only work on women and with most of the bullshit reasoning behind why they work i.e. all the claims about female psychology.

I'm a women, sometimes I use dread on my boyfriend. It works really well. If he did something really selfish or mean I will ignore his calls, stay out longer, or something to that extent. He really can't handle it very well because he blows up my phone when he knows it's because he messed up. I never leave him hanging more than 30 minutes because I can empathize with the feeling and he's more likely to listen to my side of things after that. He usually never exhibits that specific behavior again.

If a str stopped texting, I would assume I was being ghosted and end it. If it was a ltr; I would wonder why he was being a sulk and reevaluate the relationship. Drama Queens aren't worth it.

I lean Red Pill on a few things, but I disagree that "not texting" can't be abusive. Ignoring someone when they are expecting to hear from you, (or when you have led them to believe you are close), is a disorder behavior, for example.
