The discussions about n-talk are really getting old.

Okay, so some or many men have a problem with a woman's slutty past.

Lots of explanations: insecurity, jealousy, seeing it as a red flag, male entitlement, misogyny, bitterness and so on.

Why is it so hard to assume that it's just his idea of romance? Maybe even romantic delusions?

Most men who are looking for a long-term relationship don't see relationships as an economic transaction between man and women. They don't see it as a sex-flatrate. They don't see it as: my life will become easier because she does housework and we solit the bills.

Especially men who are attractive wouldn't need an LTR, because they could just have some FWBs and spend their free time with friends and doing the stuff they want without having to put effort into a relationship.

Many of them still prefer an LTR.

Why? Because of the romantic ideas they grew up with. Court the girl, win her, do everything to make her happy, be prince charming incarnated and live happily ever after.

A slut simply doesn't fit into his picture.

And it's not because of jealousy or insecurity. It's not even because of his values. Many of you bring up that it's okay to turn somebody down because they don't share your values. But it isn't because of values.

He just doesn't want a slut because of his idea of romance.

Now my question:

Why does seemingly nobody think of romantic reasons as an answer to "why do many men have problems with a high n-count / her sexual past" and instead think of insecurity, jealousy and whatnot first and exclusively?
