See, this is why I'm so cynical. All the vetting methods women talk about here don't measure up against the deceptive cunning of men. They aren't all too dumb to figure out how to hide their degeneracy. Some of them are incredibly skilled at it. I know: I married one.
Between puppet apps that look like clocks or calendars but hide texts instead, Google phone numbers, reddit, anonymous sex forums, having secret IG and other social media accounts, and things like snapchat that delete evidence, there are soooooo many ways for them to cheat, sext women, and obsess over porn. Just go to r/survivinginfidelity for a few weeks and marvel at how easy it is for cheaters and degenerates to conceal their behavior now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's cynical, aka realistic about dating.
It's just so goddamn exhausting, to have to not only be on our guard so freaking much, on top of looking good (or not, fuck it at this point), we also gotta be freaking Ms. Marple because so many men are so depraved, they know it, and they have a thousand ways to hide it
I gotta pay rent, do chores, read, educate myself further, take care of my body, care for my food intake, deal with my mental issues, worry about my career/job, do my hobbies... And on top of that I gotta do all that shit to date men and hope ONE of them is not a depraved LVM? I'm tired, and I haven't even spent a fraction of energy and time in dating as most women have.
I love romance stories, dating games, etc., and all sorts of pure, healthy love tropes, but I have no illusions as to what the actual dating prospects in real life are.

I wish I could shout this from the rooftops to every woman who is sure her partner would never cheat. I was one of those.
It still shocks me, the extent of my ex husbands deception. All this from a man who routinely “forgot” everything important to me but successfully managed to have multiple affairs over five years and never failed to cover his tracks.

What was even more gross was how he was critiquing their bodies like “see, you don’t want to look like her, her thighs are too big for her butt”...”her waist is really large for her hip size, she needs to lose more weight first” etc. I just sat there silently nodding, thinking about he compared womens bodies and must be doing the same to me.
