TBP's view of virginity is that it is a weakness and a sore spot, something that a man is probably ashamed of, therefore it is fair game for use in mocking anyone who fails the political orthodoxy test.

It's not that TBP hates virgins, or gays, or brown people. It's that TBP hates everyone who isn't a subscriber to a certain type of left wing ideology (a lot of the more sensible leftoids included). And because they pride themselves not on superior skills, or superior knowledge, or superior accomplishments, but on a belief in their moral superiority, this means that anyone they hate is evil, and therefore fair game, to be punished using any and all means possible.

To paraphrase R. Scott Bakker:

"To make his brother wicked, a man need only strike his brother. For the righteous do not strike the innocent... and every man imagines himself righteous."

Ad hom attacks have been a standard weapon in the SJW repertoire since, well, ever. I can't remember the number of times I've been dismissed on the basis of "well you're just saying this because you're probably a bitter virgin neckbeard loser, if you had a life you wouldn't hate women LOL." One of the go-to responses when someone doesn't have a substantive argument to make but still wants to make it clear how much they despise you :/

These are the ways society judges a man's value, even TBP people are susceptible to societal pressures and norms. No one likes a low value loser, revulsion and contempt are natural responses to people who don't fit in or add value.

Few things from a person pretty active in that sub. One, don't go there expecting a strong rebuttal to red ideals nor an alternative views. It is, as it claims, a place to mock red pill. Lots of people go there seemingly expecting a serious sub and complain when it's not that. Secondly, I really don't think that "ugly virgin" is the worst insult for a man that we can think of. I know I have more creativity as that. Insults like that are more meant to be the opposite of what you say you are. You say that you are rich, look great, and sleep with women all the time. That's what red pillers say about themselves, and that where we get "ugly virgin" as the opposite of that. A body builder might say that he is bulky, so a person poking fun of him would call him a shrimp. I really want to hit this point hard because it seems to be your main reasoning point. Those qualities are traits favored by red pill and then picked up by our sub. It's not us going for the worst possible insult based on the traits we value most.

Also, it should go without saying, but in reality there are handsome guys that are successful with women on both sides. I know that some men from TBP are pretty happily with a woman, and my relationship with my boyfriend is quite good, despite the fact that most TRPers would call him a beta.

EDIT: it's not the loser that people hate, it's usually the guy who thinks that women are mentally inferior. You can't deny that TRP has very sexist views of women that they try to apply to all people. Most people hate TRP because of harsh criticisms of women, regardless of if they come from a basement dweller or player.

When you read about TRP in other subreddits you are bound to notice that nobody actually despises the ideal RP man.

But most RPers aren't the 'ideal RP man'. Far from it actually. It's also the attitude and statements about women that RPers show that isn't needed at all to be a great, masculine man that gives TRP the mockery and ridicule across Reddit (it's not limited to TBP at all).

No BPer here will argue that working out, reading, working hard, making money and looking good are a bad thing. That's not what makes 'The Red Pill' unique. It's the statements and attitudes towards women that are the issue for most people, many of which are unique to the 'RP/manosphere community'.

That said, I disagree with TBPers who have to insult RPers based on their looks or whatever. There are plenty of valid arguments to dislike TRP without resorting to such childish tactics.

No. It's the failure they envision. It's the guy who FAILED to be red pill that is the laughing stock of TBP and SRS and all others alike.

Just like TRPers constantly use the failures of non-RP people as an example. Or even their own past 'beta state', despite many people being perfectly happy and content with their GFs as what TRP calls a 'beta'. It's nothing unique to TBP.

I definitely agree--this is a failure that not just TBP and TRP share, but much of the rest of the young internet posting community of which I'm aware.

Basically, both subs are dedicated to avoiding that sort of failure, but I take your point that TBP is a bit more hypocritical insofar as it tends to contradict the level of acceptance they preach in other areas. It's hard for me to not consider it a failure, honestly, I need to think about it more.

edit: I want to be clear, by the way, I am strongly anti-TRP.

i believe these particular things are mocked because of the extreme disgust and fear that TRP has expressed towards them and would feel at being called those things, and not necessarily because the poster making the joke actually has a problem with those things/traits. i usually try to avoid that though; it can end up being unintentionally mean spirited towards individuals who have nothing to do with TRP.

The childish insults stem from both sides and it is a bit ridiculous. The main conflict does stem from the manospheres attitudes and 'misogyny'. The thing people outaide of the manosphere fail to comprehend is that, in general, guys treat other posters in the manosphere as they would their buddies in real life.

When im sitting down having beers with the boys and talking about some tight little blondie from last week im not sitting there giving a fuck about being politically correct because noone in that circle of friends gives 2 shits about being PC. That is the vibe of the manosphere.

The thing I dont understand is why so many people go into a place occupied by dudes talking like dudes and try to change it. If you dont like it, then you have all the freedom in the fucking world to not read it.

I am unashamedly blue pill, and loser virgins are not who I envision when I think of TRP. I think of macho men without very much intellect and definitely without any compassion. On a scale of attractiveness, in my mind I rate a TRP on a scale of about 6-7 just by default because they obsess over fitness, but I get the feeling most of them are not that attractive in the face or they wouldn't be seeking TRP for guidance on how to get girls.

When I think of the people you're describing, I actually feel kind of sorry for those guys because they're like the inductees - just trying to make some headway with women any way they know how, but they're not who I think of when I think of active TRPers.

If I mock a TRPer, it's going to be based on the thoughts they've expressed, not on their status as a 'virgin' 'loser.'

Although if you want to look at the root of some of the hostility you hear from blue pillers, the reason for that is probably that TRPers evaluate women based solely on their physical attributes. You can act like TBPers should by default be "above" them because they discuss why it's harmful to box people in the way TRP does, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander, etc.

So you're referring to calling RPers and the like "neckbeard virgins." The reason that insult exists is not to simply mock a man for being an unattractive virgin, but to mock a man with a shitty attitude toward women, who believes the reason he is unsuccessful with women is because "women only want hot, rich, jacked assholes," who, despite having little to no experience with sex, relationships, women, and the female experience, likes to assert his expertise in these areas. Its an attack on this attitude that women and their hypergamous, shallow ways are to blame for his plight, and the belief that the only way to overcome the inherent pathology of female nature is to become a grotesque bully.

People also mock the ripped, narcisstic misogynist bro that RPers aspire to be. Case in point. Its about showing disdain for a certain attitude, not at someone for just being an unattractive virgin.

Very few non red pillers think being or getting fat or ugly is a good thing, just that fat and ugly people are in fact, people too, and they don't need us to point out how fat and ugly they are. Because its not productive for anyone.

Unless anyone points out some dating advice saying 'gain weight to get women', I believe the most common is 'lose weight'.

Even in value terms, BP think money, looks, commodities are his value, but also so much more. BP don't deny they are bad, they just accept that's 'not all there is', in some cases they believe social science is more powerful or influential than biological.
