I never ask. They always tell. I never believe. In that order almost every time. I feel like they try to signal “hey what we did is rare, I’m normally not that type of girl.”

The only way you might come close to knowing the truth is acting really sex positive, saying “hey, it’s 2019, slut shaming is BS” or something like that and see if they give you their real number but why even bother.

When you are this young it's the most natural thing to talk about when getting to know each other. When women reach a certain age (and presumably a certain N count) then all of a sudden this is the creepiest subject to bring up.

Right away? No, generally you should be able to discern these things after some conversations and getting to know each other. Later on, usually, odds are she won't be honest anyways though. The thing about questions/answers is, that they always tell you something, usually what isn't intended to be revealed.

I've never asked. Not really concerned with how she acted in the past, but more with how she'll act in the future. That said, one of the biggest red flags to me is a long history of short term relationships. I'm not dating someone just to be another notch in her belt. She can get with some other schmuck.

Never do it. Women reveal it themselves. If I had to ask it would be in their best interest to lie. Instead I just look at tells. And there are plenty. And women usually are unable to hide them all.

I’ve never asked outright. I usually ask how many boyfriends she has had and what her attitude is towards casual sex and FWB and if she’s ever been in situations like that. An actual number is not necessary in order for me to make a judgment.

Nah. Honestly, I really don’t care and personally it’s not worth it to ask. I’ve dated women with low n-counts who were crazy and not loyal to me, and I’ve dated women with high n-counts who were the most loyal and easy to please sexually. After all my experience, I just don’t see it as that important of an indicator, if she’s a bitch/nutjob, then the amount of dicks she’s taken won’t change that.
