This is a good start. 8% decline is more than I expected given most of this inventory would have been sold into the system by the time the feminazi ad ran. (Guys also have to use up their inventory of razors and creams at home).

Its a permanent boycott in my case. Tide, Gillette, Cascade, Bounty, Crest, Pantene, and others. Hadn't noticed how many P&G products I've been using over the years. No more. I'd expect a larger decrease in sales to be seen going forward as many of these former purchases still will need to get used up before I would have been buying again. New brands now - no more P&G purchases going forward. Will be interesting to see the P&G quarterlies a year or two from now.

Don't overestimate this downturn. There's a big movement towards DESR right now. I and my two closest friends have switched to DESR because they're cheaper and simpler. It's a market bubble that's popping. Very few men with a thick beard use cartridge razors anymore.

I spent £40 6 years ago for a D/E razor, brush, soap and 200 blades. I get a better shave and no irritation unlike Gillette 10 blade bollocks.

I've bought 2 soap blocks in that time so £10 a year shaving costs. I still have around a third of the blades left.

To me their political spin was desperation to appear relevant. I know many people my age who don't use their products years before the 'woke' crap.

Yeah I bought a custom crafted safety razor from an artists shop. I had used Gillette since I was a teen and just never really thought about shaving. After the ad (which I didn't even take real offense to, it was just dumb and self-promoting in a hollow kind of way. Letting boys wrestle = toxicity? Fucking retards know nothing about being a boy) I made a note to get something different after I was out of cartridges. Got turned onto a safety razor, and I prefer them now. They're a little harder to use correctly but I like that they leave a little stubble or an edge here or there, makes the shave look more natural.

They were down 5% back in late Jan/early Feb after the video dropped based on Nielson sales data. Men's shaving category is down a percentage point or two so didn't think much of it.

The real thing to look into is who the consumer shifted to. Because if you look at both mission statements and content from Dollar Shave and Harry's. They both preach some of the same things around toxic masculinity and needing to be a better man.

Lets not jump the gun. It would seem Gillette was losing market share for some time. They needed to do something desperate to regain ground. The terrible ad campaign no doubt cost them, but we'll see the true cost in the following quarters.

We also need to consider the fact Gillette crap is going to be on sale. They will be fire sales of this shit that still grants them profits, we need time before that fire sale turns into lower production and the down ward spiral starts to show itself.

I used to use Gillette razors but every time I would find the right one, it would eventually get discontinued. Boneheaded commercial aside, I am not boycotting P&G products intentionally because I felt their products turned to shit years ago. I am a sucker for advertising sometimes. I tried one of the razor programs that I got in an email. 2 guys buy a German razor facility blah blah blah. I gave them a shot and it turns out that I like their razor. They also have pretty good bar soap and after shave. Of course now most products are available at Walton Family owned stores but that’s ok I’ll keep paying top dollar to have it shipped directly. Also most store brand products easily replace all the other P&G products I refuse to use.

I use a double edge razor and its far superior. I lather my skin with hot water and soap and lightly run it down my skin switch sides and do it again. I get a clean cut in a few minutes.

Instead of replacing the whole razor, i replace the blades and I have a lifetime supply of them taking up a fist of space.

This says that revenue is down but profit is up so did we really have a great impact? That kinda sucks. Apparently their woman products are doing great so the Male market doesn't matter as much. Plus, revenue could be down based on price based competition alone, which would further diminish our overall impact. I buy from the online Dollar Shave Club. You do not pay sales tax, shipping and can get a box of their quatro blades for 6.00 a month. I believe you get a free handle when you sign up. They also sell shave butter, which my husband and I use. My husband and I no longer get razor burn.

My husband loves the Dollar shave club razors which you can get delivered when you want every month, every other month or whichever you choose. We love it and hardly spend any money on razors.

Gillette is the worse a man can get. Overpriced. We need to let big companies know. "Go Woke. GO BROKE"

8% decline is only the beginning because word probably hasn't fully spread yet, I think this will get worse.

Double edge safety razors are fancier, sharper and cheaper anyway. I change mine every shave and get a better shave than gillette used to give me anyway. I recommend everyone advise all their friends and colleagues to boycott gillette and continue spreading the word to boycott them.

I don;t use Gillette because the disposable multi razor blades are garbage and tend to do more damage than they are worth. Single blade only, much better shave and less damaging, I learned this technique when I was young. I tried the cheap multi razors a few times in college and was never impressed. I have tried electric razors but all they do is pull.

I can see where their ads of 'apologize for being male' can piss people off. Thye just don;t get my money because their product is trash. Conveniently most of these PC companies lately have foregone quality years ago and I was weaned from them early.
