yes, if they’re 6+/10 looks wise. I spend a lot of time at the beach in the summer and I’ve seen troglodyte guys cold approach girls way out of their league pretty often. And that’s not counting the eyeballing, cat calls etc. Latino men are also ten times worse. I’m a fat femcel so it doesn’t happen to me.

It mostly happens if you live in a city or the surrounding population of men find you very pretty. Much prettier than the average women in the area. Then they’ll subtly approach and try to make polite small talk then escalate if you seem receptive. Otherwise it mostly stays online like you said.

Like a couple others have said depends but in cities I think it’s a problem. In cities I get a fair amount of catcalling and some guys will follow me which is super unnerving and scary. Even when I go to gay clubs which is a common way of conveying you’re not interested In male attention, men will be pretty insistent on approaching me and trying to dance with me.

Worst I’ve experienced is public transit in Los Angeles, because they’ll be decently aggressive about being in your space. When I lived there if I took public transit I had to pull out all of the stops to be unapproachable: mirror lensed sunglasses, headphones, hood up, with an open book. Anything less than that men would approach.

Now that I’m in a smaller area I don’t get catcalled, and I’ve only had to deal with one coworker who made an inappropriate advance while drunk.

I almost never get approached/hit on by men outside of OLD or being at clubs/bars. Maybe once every few months. I've been catcalled three times in my entire life.

It depends on the location (big cities means a higher percentage of guys trying to pickup women) and it depends on culture (which is connected to race and wealth). I've seen plenty of my female friends get messaged by guys they know in real-life, professing their love or trying to get her out on a date. In clubs, a woman can often get approached half a dozen times a night - and that varies a lot by the type of club. Black guys are typically the most active at trying to pickup women in bars and clubs. I've seen black guys stand next to doorways and hit on probably half of the women that walk through the door - which means they're probably hitting on 50 different women in the course of a night, hoping to score with one of them. I've also seen black guys walk around the room and hit on one girl after the next. Bars/clubs with white guys means you'll get hit on less often.

Of course, this is reflected a lot in that whole "Walking through New York" video that went viral a few years ago. People were complaining that it was racist because there was an obviously disproportionate number of lower-class black and latino guys catcalling the woman. But, that's just a reflection of the way it is.

If she’s above average or hotter she’ll get hit on a lot by men, even ones a little more attractive than her. A plain Jane will get hit on, but it will be from like the more uglier guys.

In my experience, some men do approach because I’m Asian; and these all have some kind of racist undertone. Others approach for money, mostly from homeless guys.

But otherwise I have average looks, an average BMI and dress modestly. I sometimes get catcalls like every week or so. In crowded areas, it happens more than that.

I wouldn't say flooded but there is a decent amount. It ultimately depends on where you are at. Grocery store or something neutral like that, not really. Walking down a busy street, you'll get cat callers but I'm not sure if you're including passing annoyances. At a bar or club, then yes. I have almost never been at a bar and not at least been approached by one guy regardless of how I looked. Especially if I am with a female friend.

I've been around the world and I rarely get catcalled. I think the worst would be walking around a ghetto neighborhood I stayed in St. Louis. Surprisingly I never had a problem in NYC the three times I visited. I also lived in DC this summer and had one guy say something sexual when I was walking around.

It depends on the environment. I live in an area where strangers don’t really talk to each other, so I rarely get cold approached on the street. But if I’m at a bar/club, then I’ll for sure get hit on by multiple guys a night.

I’ve lived in countries where guys would to try to hit on me when I was out shopping or whatever, but 9/10 it’s just straight up harassment. So I think in that case a lot of women do get flooded with male attention, but a lot of it is unwanted attention.

Approached for a date has only happened a couple of times in socially appropriate settings. Though there was one memorable occasion where someone left a note to the waiter saying that I have a beautiful smile and to always keep smiling (which was nice)

Cold approaches are uncommon. Possible factors: it's not received well here, I have a bad case of RBF, I'm rarely out alone, older and uglier than I thought I was, blah blah.

What I do notice: eyeballing, excuses to create and extend conversation, to touch (ex. pat on the shoulder or back, any kind of overt brushing up against, hugs are big), occasionally being followed in stores. So mostly soft indicators.

I'll be honest, I'd rather have a guy slap my ass in a one-and-done thing than be followed by him. Following me, especially silently, is the most menacing thing a man can do.

However, I did ride public transport a lot to get to my campus this last year and did get a lot of older creepy guys trying to get my phone number.

Guys my age aren’t flooding around me, or any girl really.

I wouldn’t say that I’m ugly, but more average looking. But I do get a lot of compliments on my appearance by other girls so idk what that means.

It also depends on the way of life of the girl. I get approached when I am out in public, case being even without the pandemic I did not like being out in public. I do not go to clubs, I go to pubs maybe 3-4 times a year when a close friend asks me to join. I do not like hot weather, or the beach, so I do not sunbathe. I have facebook, but I do not post there (I use it only to keep in touch with friends ans have acces to informations form my language school etc). I have instagram but only post pictures of things I baked or boargames I played (and that twice a month at most). So I don't really create any opportunity to be flooded with male attention. It is good this way, as i do not like being in the cenetr of anyone's attention.

Yes. It's common for men to try to talk to me in bars, or just randomly say hi if they see me walking on the street. It's usually older men who are bolder with showing interest (no idea why as I'm less likely to be interested) and Latino men who would try to talk to me on the street.

For women who do get cold approached, I wonder if its the same group of men doing it. Like is there a small subset of men that approaches every 7+ girl they see? I seriously doubt its different men for each woman or anything.
