I wouldn’t want the same ring either. At the very minimum, he could’ve gone to get the diamond reset in a new band or something if he couldn’t afford an entirely new ring. IDK but if I ever got married I’d hope my husband would know not to try and pull that.

This is ridiculous. I cannot believe that women have been trained that they're not even allowed to expect anything from the man who wants to marry them. They can't expect him to have a good career, job security, savings, good income or a house. They're not even allowed to expect $1,000 ring?
