"targeted harassment" — translation: The boys thinking critically for themselves and criticising her barking mad mad-hating ideas

[–]the-capitan 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

not accepting a shitty narrative based on alternative facts is now misogynist harassment. off to the gulag with you.

[–]Singulaire 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Apparently responding to someone who badmouthed you to their 100k social media followers is "targeted harassment".

[–]MagicTampon5 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Schools these days are misandric shitholes.

I don't blame them for walking out. I would have never attended.

[–]MagicTampon2 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Another day, another damseling shithead.

[+]wisty1 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Darren told Tom Elliott it led many of the year 10 students, both male and female, to challenge Ford. Some even walked out.

Several then exchanged insults online with Ford, which 3AW has seen.

Because nothing says "dignified" like exchanging insults with year 10 boys.

[–]Revorob 23 points24 points25 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is pleasing to hear that some of the students felt empowered enough to stand up to Ford's feminazi bullshit. Even more pleasing is that some of those outspoken students were female.

[–]completel 18 points19 points20 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That translates to 10th grade.

Whoops - more details emerge and even the Gals are telling Little Clemmy that she's out of order and does not represent them.

What is the going rate for slinging burgers in Melbourne?

[–]duruga 67 points68 points69 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Young women are starting to see that men are getting really fed up with the bullshit and they will end up as unmarried cat ladies if they don't do something too.

[–]mikesteane 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Or perhaps they are simply clear-thinking enough to know bs when they smell it.

[–]mrmensplights 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Been thinking a bit about this.

In previous generations they tried to recruit girls at a time of profound change; First year of college or university. Their entire world is upside down, everything is new and everyone is figuring out their place. Everyone, man or woman, usually internalises ideas and experiences at this time that echo throughout their lives. It's prime time for brainwashing. Now that Feminism is mainstream, girls are exposed to it a younger age.. often online in blog and alt media. It's still recruitment, but it isn't an effective because they are still living with their parents, have the same friends, go to the same school, eat and sleep the same way. They are stable and so they can take time to examine the ideas.

Also, in the past these girls were spotted and spirited away by believers to a cloister. Something like classroom 3B, basement level. Third door on the right. Like any cult brainwashing, isolation is key. With feminism being mainstream there is now anti-feminism ideas floating about. These ideas are challenged. The delivery of the ideas isn't as controlled or as impactful.

[–]mikesteane 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, and they have a much harder time getting into schools, because, although religious zealots have managed it for generations, children at school are watched over by parents and others keen to keep indoctrination out.

[–]duruga 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Internet exposing kids to anti feminist arguments is a bigger deal.

[–]Starcitsoon 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This, many even most women can identify sexist bullshit. Reddit is a very bad echo chamber and it's main demographic is in a echo chamber called the university.

[–]rawbface 18 points19 points20 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

In all seriousness, I prefer to think that women are seeing Clem for what she is, and that her version of the movement is about bashing men and not about empowering women.

It's fucked up and sexist to think that women would only call her out now because they're worried men won't like them if they don't. Women are people, just like men, and they can think for themselves. Let's not become what we hate.

[–]SpellonYee 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You wouldn't know it from watching television but feminists have ALWAYS been a small minority of the female population. In the UK I think it's now down to 7 percent.

The problem is that most women haven't been proactive in their opposition to the man-haters. They haven't formed robust lobby groups for example, unlike the feminists. They just sort of went along to get along, and now things are completely out of control.

Some tradcon Christian women DID form a lobby to oppose the ERA (Equal rights amendment) pushed by feminists because it could have reduced female privilege.

[–]AsdAsd805 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Feminism was always about female supremacy. They were even against condoms ffs. And let's not forget what they did to Erin Prizzey and male shelters and both genders shelters.

Perhaps it's time for them to organize? I mean it's all fine and well to cuss out feminists on social media but until the women organize into a cohesive group the assaults against men and boys will continue.

[–]Nemobeenfound 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not to sure about that. Women aren't willing to date down and would choose the cat lady life over dating down.

[–]JohnnyDildonics 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

feminism has never gotten so close to forcibly separating the Stacies and Chads up until this point, and therefore traditional women were free to ignore the agitators in their communities because there was no fear of being called out simply for ignoring the insanity and going about your life as a star athlete with a bright future and a hot partner. Now, these shining beacons of "privilege" ARE the primary target, and young women are finally noticing that it (Militant SocJus/Feminism) is actually getting in the way of their love lives and academic futures by baselessly accusing them and their loved ones of horrible crimes for simply existing while being successful... Ignoring the blue-haired crazies doesn't work anymore because they forced themselves into EVERYONE's spaces. I believe feminism is in its death throws with this militant bullshit and it will backfire tremendously.

“We will not stand by while one woman in Australia is killed every week through domestic violence,” Mr Merlino said.

Australia population 24.13 million (2016)

that's a pretty lofty goal

[–]Luchadorgreen 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

"But we WILL stand by while one man kills himself every week."

[–]number4ty7 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

More like 7 a week currently. Family courts are killing men over there.

[–]Luchadorgreen 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Has it got that bad? I was using figures from a family court site. Where are the 6 a day figures from?

ABS cause of death. They don't publish the direct numbers any more, but this links to the excel sheet that shows them:

I'll warn you, they're not pretty.

[–]number4ty7 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fuck. Carnage. It made me look up our statistics in the UK. Over 12 men a day and 2 women a day.

Most men die in middle age. I blame family court outcomes during seperation for many of them.

[–]ThirdTurnip 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Almost as many men die from DV too.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_violence_in_Australia

Between 2010 and 2012, every 10 days a male died as a result of family violence, with a total of 75 over the period, whilst a female dies every week.

But that's a truth that politicians and the media sweep under the carpet.

[–]WikiTextBot 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Domestic violence in Australia

In Australia, domestic violence is defined by Family Law Act 1975 as "violent, threatening or other behaviour by a person that coerces or controls a member of the person's family, or causes the family member to be fearful".

The Act refers to acts of violence that occur between people who have, or have had, an intimate relationship in domestic settings. Domestic violence is most commonly perpetrated by males against their female partners, but it also includes violence against men by their female partners and violence within same-sex relationships. However, the term can be altered by each state's legislation and can broaden the spectrum of domestic violence, such as in Victoria, where family-like relationships and witnessing any type of violence in the family is defined as a family violence.

Read up on Victoria's Respectful Relationship Education in Schools program. They straight up admit that one of their goals is teaching people to ignore male victims and to think of domestic violence as male violence.

[–]ThirdTurnip 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wouldn't surprise me.

I did go to their website and look at some of their material when this story first surfaced, thinking to myself, surely this hasn't been accurately reported. They can't truly be doing this.

But they were and still are.

[–]Singulaire 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's right there in their final evaluation report. Under the heading "The absence of professional learning poses potential risks" which begins on page 75 (The section is talking about the issues that arise when teachers tried to discuss gender violence but didn't have the training provided by the RRE program):

Reflections from untrained teachers indicated that they did not understand the nature and extent of gender-based violence or what the RREiS pilot was trying to achieve. The following comment was made by an untrained teacher on their experience of teaching the curriculum:

One of the interesting things I found through the kids was that a lot of them [...] have that misconception that domestic violence [impacts] mainly women. They didn’t realise that there was the male perspective of how the men are subjected to different types of violence in the household.

This led to confusion and contradiction for the students in these classes. On the one hand, the students in focus group sessions were able to demonstrate a sound understanding of gendered power relations and statistics on gender-based violence, yet maintained that they had learned that we need to ‘talk about how the women can be violent to men’. In one example, a group of students referred to a story they had heard in class about a man being raped at gunpoint by two women. As a result, these students believed women sexually assaulting men ‘happens all the time’ which is converse to national statistics on sexual assault which show that women are four times more likely than men to experience sexual violence, and that of the women who experience sexual assault the perpetrators are 33 times more likely to be male than female.

In other words, students think that male victims and female perpetrators are a problem that we need to be aware of and talk about. This is apparently unacceptable and must be fixed with "education".

From page 41:

At the conclusion of the pilot, a number of school leaders demonstrated a clear understanding of the need for culture change around gender and could explain the link between Respectful Relationships Education and gender-based violence. These school leaders were able to express the gendered nature of gender-based violence and recognised that the key aim of RREiS was to address the underlying drivers of gender-based violence:

I think it’s a range of things and it’s a deeply entrenched cultural problem that needs to be addressed. It would [come] down to the objectification of women, through the media, through history, through just the culture. [...] It happens because of these cultural mores that have developed over centuries and have probably been exacerbated with media and so on. We call it family violence. We call it domestic violence. We call it all these things – it’s a euphemism actually. It’s male violence. Yet it doesn’t get labelled that.

emphasis mine.

Australia seems really, really bad for this kind of stuff. They're well into some leftist/marxist academic takeover of the state. I'd hate to be a young man there right now.

leftist/marxist academic takeover of the state.

Lol no they're not. It's not like they're trying to eliminate wealth inequality or encouraging workers to own and control their workplaces. This is bullshit identity politics designed to DISTRACT everyone from the rich screwing the poor.

[–]Starcitsoon 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a cute way to say they are becoming a socialist state that is stripping wealth from those who have it.

[–]mikesteane 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But universities don't drive Australia. Production does, mainly mining and agriculture but a whole lot of other industry as well. And (almost) everyone here knows it.

[–]RivuletofLife 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Insulting you is justified because you said there was a "policy to eradicate the indigenous population" which is a load of bullshit.

Not like the ran them off their lands, interned them, murdered them and deprived them of their freedom.

Fmd you are a dim wit.

White Australia policy

Trying to use that when talking about black fellas just shows how stupid you really are.

Google it and the Lost Generations

Maybe you need to google it you dumb cunt because it's called the "stolen generation" not lost...... and it should more likely be called the saved generation for a lot of cases.

You need to grow a brain and stop visiting left wing bullshit propaganda sites and learn some actual history instead of sprouting the usual retardation from your ilk when it comes to Australian history.... and this is coming from someone who has murri blood flowing through his veins.

[–]Stegasaurus_Wrecks -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't think people should be banned actually in the slightest, because it introduces them to what they'll have to deal with in universities and the real world. What they shouldn't be doing though is pandering to man hating lunatics like Clementine Ford and then attacking their own students.

[–]WillMeatLover -4 points-3 points-2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

As it should be.

The hypocrisy is bad, but what you just said there is stupid. Adults that argue with children should never be allowed near children?

[–]ThatDamnedImp 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you're passionately arguing with children, you lack the majority to teach them anything.

You can disagree with them. But a heated argument is more than disagreement.

Why are they inviting a person to speak at their school who has time and time again called for all men to be killed?

because some do gooder thought it was a nice idea.

Also this wasn't a state school, this was a private ( Catholic in this case, non government) school, they can do many things that a state school can't.

Remember all the "no platforming" (ie denying free speech/speech that didn't fit a certain, hateful worldview) that "feminists" were doing a while back and they got supported for it by the mainstream media.

Yet people (almost children) who just exercise their right to not listen to effectively hate speech are criticised.

I live not far from this college. We once had a woman's rights ambassador come in to run a workshop with some of the boys in my year level (yr9) of which I was included.

she would ask questions to us like:

"Raise your hand if you think hitting your wife is acceptable?"

"Raise you hand if threating to dump your girlfriend if they don't have sex with you is ok?"

And to her utter amazement, not a single person raised their hand. It goes to show, many preconceptions that feminists have about men simply arn't true. There is a lot of misinformation out there.

Wait... You can't break up with someone who doesn't share your desire for sex?

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (19 children) | Copy Link

I guess it would be wrong if your intent of breaking up was to intentionally hurt the other person inorder to recieve sex. So basically black mail.

[–]Halafax 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

Tricky.

I guess breaking up is fine, but threatening to isn't?

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Just do it all of a sudden with no warning and no discussion of what you both want out of a relationship.

[–]Halafax 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Heh. I think that sums up my point pretty well.

There are lots of unhappy folks in dead bedroom relationships (both men and women) who have been convinced/conditioned to not talk about sex at all. They feel they can't even bring it up, because sex is too sacrosanct to discuss- "sex is different from other issues".

I'm trying to figure out how to comply with previous poster's edict of "not hurting anyone" with "you are an individual and get to decide who to have a relationship with".

Spontaneous ghosting seems like the only exit?

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Her: I want us to communicate more openly. For instance I would appreciate if you would help with the laundry more.

Feminists: yeah he's a lazy jerk.

Him: ok I can appreciate that. I would like more sex.

Feminists: RAPE!!!!!!!!

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (14 children) | Copy Link

If you're making someone have sex with you and they don't want to its a form of manipulative behaviour. It may not sound like much but its how domestic violence begins.

[–]Halafax 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

If you're unhappy in a sexless relationship, do you have a responsibility to stay?

That also sounds abusive.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

No you don't. Again, it depends whether your specific intention is to harm the other by leaving the relationship.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That seems entirely subjective and up to her opinion.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Not really. You can generally tell by the content and manner of private conversations between the two individuals.

Simply choosing have sex with someone knowing that they feel uncomfortable about it is unethical.

[–]squeak6666yw 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If two people are in a relationship and one does not want to have sex. lets say they are a-sexual and has little to no sex drive.

The person with a normal sex drive says if their is no sex in this relationship i feel we should break up.

Are you saying if the no sex drive person decides to have sex to keep the relationship its abuse?

Because people have needs and if one party is willing to make a sacrifice ie have sex when they don't want to to maintain the needs of the other is it abusive?

[–]cithus221 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Again, its abuse if the person wanting to have sex is threating to breakup as a means of causing harm to the other person inorder to persuade them to have sex. If it is any other situation then it is not abuse.

[–]PillTheRed 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And how would you go about proving this type of harm? How do you know what someone else's intentions are? You don't. So, this is utter fuckery. Stop it.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Because if you said:

have sex with me or I'll leave you And they say: Please, I really don't want to have sex.

In this situation you have three options:

  1. Leave the relationship. You don't get sex. She gets hurt.

  2. Have sex with her anyway. You get sex. She gets hurt.

  3. Stay in the relationship and don't have sex. You get a little annoyed and she is happy.

This is definitly not an easy dilemma. But my personal moral compass would point me the 3rd option. If I really love someone, am I willing to make them feel pressured into doing something they don't feel comfortable doing? Or am I going to put my sexual desires aside? I pick the latter?

[–]squeak6666yw 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you are misrepresenting the math.

Because if you said:

have sex with me or I'll leave you

And they say:

Please, I really don't want to have sex.

then the only answer is break up.

If you say

have sex with me or I'll leave you

and they say:

i don't want sex but i don't want to lose you, so sure lets have sex.

Are you saying its abuse?

[–]cithus221 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If this were to be proven in court you could use normal conversation.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If you're making someone have sex with you and they don't want to its a form of manipulative behaviour.

You aren't making them do anything. Saying you'll leave a relationship where you aren't happy isn't a threat.

If she says she'll break up with him if he doesn't start helping out with their mutual chores more has she enslaved the poor bastard?

It may not sound like much but its how domestic violence begins.

No it really isn't. Unless you assume men having any standards for being in a relationship with a woman to be a form of domestic violence.

[–]cithus222 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ok I definity phrased that wrong. What I mean't was, if your threating to breakup with the specific intent of emotionally harming the other person inorder to backmail them into to sex, its manipulation.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I just think its unethical to have sex with someone if they are uncomfortable about it. If you are more willing to leave a relationship than recieve sex, it indicates that you don't have strong romantic connection with that person. This becomes decieteful if your only reason for being in the relationship is to recieve sex from your partner.

[–]oldskoolr 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your whole point is based on the fact that romantic connection and sex aren't mutually exclusive.

To enter in a relationship without the romantic connection is deceitful, so yes there's nothing wrong with saying I'm leaving you to find someone else who'll sleep with me.

[–]PillTheRed 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can, I promise!

[–]the-capitan 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Raise you hand if threating to dump your girlfriend if they don't have sex with you is ok?

this is bullshit. you have every right to break up with someone if they don't fuck you. why are you going to give anyone time, support, commitment, and resources, when they don't meet your needs?

the reason she takes this position is because since the dawn of history, women have been the keepers of sex, men the keepers of commitment. if a woman can withhold sex from a man, and he cannot break commitment, she is making this an abusive, subservient relationship. you see this in marriage all the time... couple gets married and the sex stops practically overnight. she no longer has to provide sex to maintain his commitment. instead, she can legally compel his commitment through divorce rape, long after she's stopped fucking him.

she's demanding males are subservient. she's a sexist piece of shit because of it.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

I think you are exagerating her position. As I said before, it is abusive if the person wanting to have sex is threating to leave as a means of causing harm to get sex.

[–]the-capitan 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

you never said "causing harm" ... you said "threating [sic] to dump" her.

if the guy said "fuck me or i will beat you", of course that's wrong. no one in their right mind would support that.

but that's not what you said. you said threatening to withdraw commitment if she withdraws consent. that has been the natural order of intersexual relations between men and women for hundreds of thousands of years. and evolution gives zero fucks about 50 years of feminism.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Ok well thats what I mean't when I said it. Its not exactly a difficult thing to misunderstand.

Technically humans have evolved patriarchy  because males who keep control over their partners (i.e. preventing them from reproducing with other males) have a higher chance of producing more offspring. That is why in nearly all cultures across the globe males are dominant over woman. Does that mean we can't change our behaviour? Not at all.

I think its interesting that simply because I didn't explicitly say "threatening to leave with intent to cause harm..." you therefore assume that the woman's rights activist that asked the question didn't mean that, even though its sort of implied in the question.

It would be like if she said:

Men should not beat woman.

And then you say:

ARE SAYING ITS OK TO HIT MEN? IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING? THAT ITS OK TO HIT MEN JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A PENIS?!

The point is, you are applying your own preconcieved notions of what feminists actually believe and stand for, and applying that onto your interpretation of what feminists are actually saying. Obviously a majority of feminists believe that exiting a relationship because you are not sexual satisfied is fairly ethical; obviously they believe pressuring someone into provided sex is wrong.

[–]the-capitan 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How is there any room for misunderstanding? If feminazi said it's abuse to threaten physical violence for her withholding sex, that's fine but no one defends it.

Actual feminists do believe that the woman should readily be able to withdraw sex but still force the man's commitment, resources, time, and support through the legal system. Not only is that a ridiculously bad deal for the man (which is why marriage rates are in free all), it's confirming redpill 101.

[+]cithus221 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

How is there any room for misunderstanding Well clearly you have misunderstood what I have said.

...but no one defends it What exactly are you saying by this?.. I would defend someone that says that threatening physical violence is abuse.

actual feminists do believe that the woman should readily be able to withdraw sex but still force the man's commitment, etc through the legal system. Its funny because when the lady was asked about the legal system's bias toward woman she said that she actually agreed that it was wrong.

heated in question time because some of the boys refuse to believe the wage gap exists

I would imagine that several boys questioned what she said and explained that there are legitimate reasons for the "wage gap". Followed by her having a breakdown.

She probably then said "no, it's the patriarchy" and refused to answer any more questions.

Absolute joke. Why are these people being allowed to speak at schools? What next, some kkk to talk about racial IQ differences?

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists always win debates in their safe spaces where any dissent is immediately removed and the circle jerk reaffirms itself that everything they said is perfect.

They do less well when they can actually be challenged.

[–]armaadi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why does a hateful person like Clem Ford get to talk at lectures without protest, but people like Ben Shapiro get protested, sometimes violently?

It blows my mind. Clem Ford is on many records for advocating violence against men, and Shapiro never has advocated violence against anyone...well, maybe some violence against convicted rapists.

[–]SpellonYee 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shapiro has advocated for the expulsion of all Palestinians from Gaza, a war crime. So I can certainly see why he'd be protested. He's just as big a piece of shit as Ford.
