Separated spouse gave me a lecture about my self and and how I suck. Most of which were NEVER vocalized concerns in the past, when I would literally ask her about our relationship.

I almost feel like during the separation, she completely managed to deconstruct our history and reality to accommodate her decision to separate.

It reminded me of this interesting New York Times article that talks about how emotional memories can betray us. I highly recommend it for anyone who’s gone through this. I first thought it was BS, but now I think the researcher was on to something:
