The sad part is, even if she tells the whole school what this clown did, there will still be pick-mes lining up around the block for their turn thinking "I'm special! I’m 99.9% sure it was intentional on his part - didn’t even bother saying he “forgot”. Also… how’d he get there if he didn’t have a ride home? At the least she does look ticked off, so I don’t think we have to worry about her accepting this crap in the future.

You have the right to stop the waitress and correct the situation. "NO. I will only be paying for myself. If the gentleman cannot pay, he better call his rich relatives to come bail him out." Pay your portion, get up and leave. If he tries to grab you or get in your way, START SCREAMING AND MAKE THE BIGGEST STINK OF YOUR FUCKING LIFE. What happened to her is not okay. Scrotes are getting braver and braver. I literally just made this comment as a joke 9 days ago, and now I see it's already happening:

I laughed, looked at him like he farted and said ‘fucking nowhere aren’t you the man? I don’t pay for men, do I look like a chump.’

He laughed it off but looked quite embarrassed and shortly after basically revealed he had lost his job by being an immature loser turning up late and picking fights with his boss. I think he expected me to feel sympathy when it was clear he was an idiot and caused that himself.

You see how he was scouting for a pick me to leech off? That’s men testing you. And attractive broke men love trying this BS and fronting. They think they can coax by on their looks alone.

Just embaress them and act shocked by them even asking. Shame is a big motivator for men, if all pick mes just shamed them and refused to pay they’d soon get their act together.

Sad her birthday was ruined, but she didn’t need to pay his way. She should have spoken up and there should have been 2 bills. You don’t ever need to be “polite” and pay a scrote’s bill. He ate it, payment for it is his problem.

(Side Note: I do take note of what the scrote ate and add 20% of his meal to my tip because I don’t trust them to tip. So if I see he had a $20 meal I’ll put an extra $5 on my tip line)

Poor girl, she looks really young, so she may have felt bad speaking up for herself. Also, $100 is a lot of money if you have to save up using a low paying job.

Now, I just want to point out, if you paid for all of that (the majority of the "date") you didn't get taken out. He did.

I hope this comes at a lesson to her. A lot of LV men like to talk about how women are scammers and how we only use men for money, all while doing the exact same they're talking about--Projection. Don't bend to them. If someone offers to take you out there should either be an agreement where you both pay for yourselves, or the person offering/the guy pays for you

Second, I hope she finds the courage within her in the future to tell the waitress "No, I'll actually be paying for myself" in the future. Let him do the dishes or whatever, and find his own way back home. Which leads to me what I want to say next--Don't help others when you can't help yourself.

What I'm referring to is that she can't even do her own hair now for her birthday. Again, if she had just paid for her meal and her own Uber, she would have some money left behind (not sure if she would have had enough for the exact cut and style she would have wanted, but if it wasn't she wouldn't be out of $100 and could have gotten something else in compensation).

Lastly, it might not be foolproof, but before every outing (date or not) I like to discuss things like "How/when will I get there?", "How/when will I get back?", "Who's paying?", "Are we doing anything after?" With the other person. And then with myself, "What's my budget?". I'm not fixing to pay more than expected. I'm also not good with schedule changes and the like so any deviation from what we planned for (excluding emergencies) is immediate red flag territory, and I'm probably preparing to leave.

I wish she could venmo request him the money. My ex had the wonderful idea of going to Miami together and then breaking up with me the morning after we get back. I venmo requested all of the expenses for the trip and he paid them. If a man if going to expect you to do these stupid things for them, then he should be prepared for the consequences.

My birthday is always kind of crummy, it’s a yearly deadline in my line of work, so I rarely celebrate. One year a recent ex said he wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday. He picked the place - a sushi place. I don’t eat sushi. But I’ll eat tempura and yakisoba, so I agreed. He wanted to take his motorcycle. It was cold out, plus I don’t really like motorcycles anyway. I think I met him there. He had two huge beers and a few sushi rolls, I had one normal beer and two appetizers. And when it came time to pay he reached into his pocket, and realized his wallet was in the console of his car. I ended up spending $80 on my own birthday dinner at a place I didn’t pick, of which maybe $25 was my share. Forgetting his wallet was a legitimate mistake, he treated me most of the times we went out, but the selfishness was par for the course. Fuck you, Sam.

Did he pay her back? He better have. You always hear men talking about how women should pay men back for the money they spent on them but men aren’t expected to do the same. Men can be gold diggers too and men genuinely aren’t worth it anymore.
