I'm just glad I'm not trying to date right now. My sympathies to anyone trying to weed out who is taking the virus seriously vs who is using it to get cheap dates and earlier access to sex.

A picnic is a good idea if he puts thought into it. You can have a romantic picnic with good food and alcohol. I do think this is a red flag though, he shouldn’t be bringing people over if he has a toddler at home. He shouldn’t be even dating at this time and put his toddlers health first.

I'm not disagreeing with your point here about cheap coronavirus excuses... I would just be straight up about boundaries "hey yeah I'm sorry I actually don't meet new people for the first time at either my house or theirs". If he continues to suggest low value dates then I just stop talking and move on.

So now that's out of the way I need to say this: yes the virus absolutely does affect children with some severe symptoms similar to that of Kawasaki disease. It's just not a great assumption to perpetuate, even to LVM strangers.

Yeaaaahhhh now is sooo not the time to be meeting people let alone new ones, he can order food (and maybe a present?!) to be sent to your house and you can have a Skype/zoom date Stay safe ladies, none of us needs the D THAT badly lol

Also part of being a HVM IMHO is not just about how he spends on you but how he treats you and respects your boundaries and safety.

If his son was such a big reason why he didn't go to a restaurant, then he should NOT go on ANY dates whatsoever. You're also a "stranger" outside his safe social bubble, and you could be asymptomatic and potentially infect him and by extension, his son.

Not to mention, the one at risk is not his 3yo. It's YOU. Children are the least high risk group; in fact they are the highest risk group for infecting others, AKA they're the best disease spreaders and carriers, due to how they lack the self-awareness to not touch their faces with their hands after touching anything, and can't stop themselves from touching other people.

So any dude with kids 9 and younger, who is trying to "get some" during these times is being incredibly selfish and irresponsible.

Hahaha yes! Our city is back to normal and i asked if we were ever going to go on a proper date instead of him wanting me to come over. His excuse: “Coronavirus Baby!”. But he can still go out with his friends? Blocked.
