I've read a comment in which mentioned that pornography is filled with human trafficking and other awful stuff and that a documentary about the said subject repulsed them and they stopped pornography. So ig there is hope.

It seems like far too few men who participate in that sub manage to successfully dispense with the crazy level of misogyny and objectification that comes with ingesting porn to addiction levels. They're more like dry drunks of the dick.

I’m disappointed by NoFap for sure. I want to be with someone who is authentically and ethically porn-free, not someone who quit because they broke their dick. The root cause of their addiction is entitlement to women’s bodies and they won’t ever fully recover until they see women as people, the same way they see men as people just like a dry drunk may be alcohol-free but they haven’t truly addressed the issues that put them on that path.

The men I knew who went to join nofap movement were for self-interest because they were still misogynistic af and they also blamed the women in porn industry for their addictions. It was sad.

I get what you’re saying and agree with much of it. However, it’s worth noting that a lot of those guys are underage minors with a very limited worldview, still mentally undeveloped, and have no prosocial role models in their real life.

I’m not justifying their actions, and think the conspiracy stuff is insane, but I think that the movement is ultimately starting a conversation and challenging the status quo. I think the movement will allow for other movements to grow from it, movements that are more challenging of the porn industry as a whole, recognising the exploitation and dehumanisation of women, and hopefully something will come of that.

I think if not taken to excess masturbation can be healthy for men and men. That said, if these jerks can't masturbate without watching porn and seeing women raped and abused then maybe it's best they not do it at all.

the main reason i see guys stop watching porn is because it doesn’t “feel good” anymore or takes them too long to ejaculate 🙄 it’s for selfish reasons and rarely because it’s UNHEALTHY or a terrible industry for women in every way, not to mention the impact on women they sleep with. i just hope the men who quit because of the other reasons i mentioned are sharing their insight with other men or their children.

Unfortunately, they just don’t care about women. That’s the truth, sorry. If porn consumption and masturbation had zero negative side effects to their mental and sexual health, men would never advocate against it. They only go against it because it harms them and even then, they do it begrudgingly. I understand that no woman wants to realize this, but you have to. Men will never care about women’s well being, safety, or societal issues like you want them to. The sooner you realize and accept this, the sooner you will be able to de-center men from your life and start living your life for you.

I’ve known several men who are concerned about the violence sex trafficking etc. but I think the ones who align with that movement tend to have self centered goals. Most of the men I’ve known who cared about women in that context it was religiously motivated.
