I quit Bumble for this exact reason. I put in the minimum effort with the initial message, but the number of guys who would be like "Try to put in more effort, I'm a catch, impress me, blah blah."

My personal favorite was a dweeby looking guy that I swiped right on because we shared a few niche interests saying "Everyone sends that as a first message, try actually engaging with people's profiles."

Sir, I am an attractive woman on a dating app. I can have over one hundred matches a day if I swipe enough. Do you think I have time for that? It's your job to impress me and stand out from the noise.

Or the ones who complain about women giving short answers. They'll ask you "How is your day?" And when you write back "Good, what about you?" That's a CRIME and you are lazy and ENTITLED for expecting them to "do the heavy lifting of the conversation".

Most men today are such utter backwards losers they really expect women to like sweep them off their feet Prince Charming style, as if the scrote is Cinderella and the belle of the ball and you're supposed to wine and dine and enchant them until they fall in love. Like...tf?

At least in past generations men had some understanding that theyre supposed to be the ones moving the ball forward, putting in the effort, proving their interest. Now, it's literally FLIPPED and inverted and they expect every female to act like Gaston and like hunt them down. It's sooooo seriously bizarre and strange. And most of these men look like one of those "fatberg" greaseballs they haul out of the sewers every so often that clog up the pipes, like the accumulation of baby wipes and fat or whatever that block up every so often? These scrotes look like one of those and yet they want to be waited on hand and foot.

I would never send a message first. How lazy is that, that they won't take the initiative and expect p*ssy to just throw itself at them. It makes it easier to weed them out, though.

Too many claim to be sarcastic and want an easy-going woman. I read that as an abusive man wants a woman who will put up with his abuse. I generally don't see sarcasm as a positive personality trait.

They all tell on themselves early on, so we have to know what to watch for.

It's more than laziness when men don't initiate or message first. I think it's actually immoral. Because men are only risking rejection when they interact with women, but women are risking violence and maybe death.

The moments when he is approaching are sometimes the best chance a woman has to spot red flags. Is he too pushy? Entitled? Has bad social skills? Spotting the red flags can save your life.

It's completely unfair to remove women's safety mechanisms just so men won't have to feel rejection. Another case of men prioritizing their feelings over women's lives.
